Dim Sum Funeral with Kelly Hu and Bai Ling
According to Variety, Kelly Hu has signed on for a lead role in “Dim Sum Funeral,” directed by Anna Chi. This U.S.-Canadian indie flick does not have a large budget, but looks like some six-degrees-of-separation connections brought together a interesting cast including Bai Ling, Russell Wong, Steph Song, Lisa Lu, Julia Nickson, Francoise Yip and Chang Tseng.
The film is about the lives of estranged adult siblings from a Chinese-American family who return home after the death of their mother. Production has already started in Vancouver. Bai Ling was spotted last month shooting scenes for the "Dim Sum Funeral".
Both Bai Ling and Kelly Hu were recently at the Asian Excellence Awards. Here's Kelly Hu signing autographs before the awards show:
