Honda ASIMO robot conducts the Detroit Symphony

You read that right. The Honda ASIMO robot opened for world renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma by conducting the Detroit Symphony Orchestra with the song "The Impossible Dream" from Man of La Mancha. Honda also gave $1 million to the Detroit's music programs.

Watch ASIMO conduct the Detroit Symphony:

In case you were wondering, ASIMO stands for Advanced Step in Innovative Mobility. Someday this robot will assist the elderly and disabled in their homes. See more footage of ASIMO in action on the Honda site.
