PGA Golfer Anthony Kim wins Wachovia Championship

Korean American golfer Anthony Kim, 22, became the youngest winner on the PGA tour in more than six years. In the final-round, he shot three-under par 69 to finish on 16-under 272. Kim’s 16-under was the lowest score in Wachovia tournament history, breaking the tournament record by 3 shots set last year by Tiger Woods. This tournament was only his 38th PGA start. By winning the 2008 Wachovia Golf Championship, Anthony Kin earned Kim $1,152,000 for his victory. With the championship, he is ranked #6 on the 2008 money list. His win also qualifies him for the World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational in July, the winner’s-only Mercedes Championhip in Hawaii (the first event of the 2009 PGA Tour schedule), and the 2009 Masters for the first time as a winner of a PGA Tour event.
