Manny Pacquiao wins WBC Lightweight Champion belt


WBC super featherweight Champion Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao defeated WBC Lightweight Champion David Diaz to get his fourth world boxing title. In the fight dubbed “Lethal Combination,” Pacquiao (45-3-37 knockouts) scored a bloody knockout in the 9th round at 2:24 and became the new WBC Lightweight Champion. During his fight, Manny Pacquiao landed a total of 230 punches and 180 power shots versus 90 and 59 respectively by Diaz. By winning the belt, Pacquiao became the only Asian boxer to win four major boxing titles in four weight classes (Flyweight, Super bantamweight, Super featherweight, and Lightweight) and the first Filipino fighter to win a world title in the lightweight category. Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao's next fight will be on November 8. the opponent is yet to be determined.
