icanhascheezburger founded by Asian Americans

Kari Unebasami and Eric Nakagawa, founders of icanhascheezburger.com, are in large part responsible for the massive popularity of the LOLcats meme-one of the biggest in Internet history. The pair started the blog in January 2007 and the submissions started flowing in. With millions of visitors coming to the site, the original founders sold to Ben Huh for about $2 million.

And now, they’re coming out with an ‘I Can has Cheezburger’ book, which will hit shelves October 7.
