Asian American Vote Crucial in Some Key States

As Asian Americans, we have the Power of the Swing Vote. Asian Americans make up just five percent of the U.S. population, but they may play an important role in the presidential election in closely contested states such as Virginia and Nevada. The two major political parties – the Democrats and the Republicans – and community activists are working to get out the Asian American vote.

Asian American Vote Crucial in Some Key States

Asian-American voter turnout is high, making them a small but powerful voting bloc.

Asian-Americans could be the swing vote in some battleground states this year because of razor-thin margins and a growing minority population. The Obama and McCain campaigns are doing a final get out the vote push for this demographic.

It’s a call out to the hip hop generation, young people, Asian American community to stand up and take part in one of the most important moments of our generation. Vote!
