Dare I Say by Seriously

Here’s the latest song “Dare I Say” from the band Seriously, a new up and coming Asian American band. Seriously is made up of four young men from Diamond Bar, California (Philip Park, 21; Chris Pham, 20; Josh Baek, 24; and Nathan Park, 20). The four guys began playing together in a local church and came together to compete in LA’s premier Asian American talent show, Kollaboration in 2006 where they won the Grand Prize with their song, “Irony“.

Also Seriously entered a contest to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform alongside John Mayer. Here’s why they should win:

“Apart from making kickass music, we want to redefine the stereotype that society has placed on Asians. There is more to us than rice and math. Our dream is to be at the forefront of Asians in entertainment, namely music, and to share our experiences with the world, for music knows no color. Just being able to to perform with John Mayer would be an honor and the opportunity of a lifetime in itself.”

Lyrics for “Dare I Say” by Seriously

I wish that I could say

Everything that I had saved

For tonight

That I want you to stay

So I could fix this mess and not regret it for

The rest of my …

But instead I’ll wish you luck

‘Cause out of sight means out of mind

I guess I can’t have you feeling stuck

I pray that New York will be

Everything that you need, everything that you read

But drop me a line

Let me know you are fine

Can’t get used to the silence tonight

Can’t get used to the silence tonight

Can’t get used to the silence tonight

‘Cause it’s screaming our goodbyes

So much for no regrets

‘Cause you know I can’t remember things

But it’s even harder trying to forget

God I’ll miss that laugh

That look, that hold, that hand that shook my heart and took my will to hold it back

Cause I was in, dare I say, love, love, love

Dare I call it what it was

Cause we both know

That it wasnt just for fun

Sometimes things end before they are said

Before they are sung

I can’t cry another day

So I’ll pretend that I’m okay

But I’m still in, dare I say, love

Gonna call it like it is

Or am I swinging just to miss

When I say I love you

But I’ll keep it to myself

Try find another girl that makes me feel

Exactly how felt

You don’t need know

‘Cause wanna make easier for you

To pack your things and go
