I Like Boys music video from The People I’ve Slept With

The music video “I Like Boys” by the Fabulous Miss Wendy features clips from “The People I’ve Slept With” starring Karin Anna Cheung, Wilson Cruz, Archie Kao, Lynn Chen and James Shigeta. It’s pretty rare for an Asian American film to have a music video for a song on its soundtrack. (The other major one we can remember is Satisfaction by Far East Movement for Finishing the Game. Hopefully, we will see more music video collabos with Asian American films in the future.)

In the music video, we can see a bunch of shots with Karin Anna Cheung and Archie Kao. You may remember Archie Kao from CSI and Karin Anna Cheung from Justin Lin’s Better Luck Tomorrow. (FYI – Justin Lin directed Finishing the Game too.)

Not One For Words by afterschoolspecial

This is the music video for afterschoolspecial’s new single “Not One For Words”. Video directed by Charlie Yi over 2 days with a budget of $40. The video is not bad for such a small budget. (Their music style reminds us of Magnetic North.)

Here’s more about afterschoolspecial

Based out of San Diego, CA, afterschoolspecial blends hip hop and alternative rock to create a truly unique listening experience. Influenced heavily by artists such as The Roots, Handsome Boy Modeling School and Linkin Park, afterschoolspecial delivers a high energy performance with soulful undertones. Thundering drums, smashing guitar, smooth bass, and fluidic piano meld behind an aggressive emcee and sultry female vocalist. Formed in September of 2007, the group writes and records music in their home studio and tours regularly in and around San Diego County.
