Deadline – Post-It Stop Motion

Art student Bang-yao Liu create this for his senior project at Savannah College of Art and Design. It took him and his team 3 month of planning, 4 days of shooting, and over 6,000 post it notes.

Artist statement: “My idea comes from is that every time when I am busy, I feel that I am not fighting with my works, I am fighting with those post-it notes and deadline. I manipulating the post-it notes to do pixel-like stop motion and there are some interactions between real actor and post-its.”

The people of at post-it notes should pay this guy for all the free branding they’re getting. Also Ashton Kutcher twittered about “Deadline” here and here. “when ever I see stuff like that I’m humbled by the collective creativity of people. thnx Bang-Yao Liu you inspire me”

The stop motion effect reminds us of the Bruce Lee vs Iron Man video
