2009 72 Hour Film Shootout Entries

Check out the entries to the 2009 72 Hour Film Shootout. There were almost 50 entries. Judges for this year’s shoot out included Michael Kang (Director “West 32nd“), Mynette Louie (Producer “Children of Invention“), Justin Chon (Actor “Twilight”), Kazuhiro Soda (Director “Mental”), Ellen Kuras (Cinematographer “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”), and Marci Phillips (Exec Director of Primetime Casting ABC Entertainment).

Winners were announced during the 2009 Asian American International Film Festival. We’ll post the winners later. Which short do you think won?

Yo-Yo Champion Pat Cuartero

When Pat Cuartero quit his job at Merrill Lynch, it was the height of the boom. But now he’s doing what he loves: extreme yo-yoing. In 2005, he started yoyonation.com, a website that sells yo-yos, organizes competitions and plays host to online discussion forums. Not only is the half Chinese, half Filipino entrepreneur the CEO of yoyonation.com, but he is also a World Yo-Yo Champion. Check out his skills on the Wall Street Journal and Today Show.
