Where Do We Go (Where Is Home) by Bamboo Star

This music video came out a few months ago out of Hong Kong. It’s entitled “Where Do We Go (Where Is Home)” by Bamboo Star. The video talks about two slacker dudes try to find a place to live in expensive Hong Kong amidst the financial crisis. “Where Do We Go (Where Is Home)” stars North American ex-pats Simon Yin and Derrick Fong. (You may recognized Simon Yin as a VJ from MTV Chi). Beyond just shooting in Hong Kong, the video also has collaboration with social networking site AliveNotDead, Beat Trix Dance Crew, and a special appearance by Jason Tobin (remember him as Virgil from Better Luck Tomorrow.) It also won best music video at the I Shot Hong Kong Film Festival 2009.

For some reason this video reminds us of Patty Yu’s BaO Eat You Up parody. BTW – Wan Chai and Lan Kwai are two districts in Hong Kong.
