Y.E. Yang beats Tiger Woods in 2009 PGA Championship

South Korea’s Y.E. Yang, a 37-year-old, second-year player on the PGA Tour, upset Tiger Woods in the 2009 PGA Championship. He started the round two shots behind Woods, but ened up three shots better than Woods. The victory is the first major championship win for an Asian-born man. (Asian-born women have been winning championships for awhile, which led to the LPGA English speaking Requirements debacle.) Like in women’s golf, Y.E.
