Colorado Ballon Boy found in attic

If you’ve been watching the news today, you must have seen the news about Balloon Boy. The six year old Colorado boy, Falcon, was thought to be in a flying saucer like experimental helium balloon that floated into the Rocky Mountain sky. His brother had said he watched Falcon get into the balloon before he untied it setting it free. More than 90 minutes later the balloon crashed and no kid was found. Fortunately, Falcon wasn’t in the balloon at all, but hiding in the family’s attic.

The Henne family was also recently on the 100th episode of Wife Swap back in March 2009. They are described as a storm-chasing, science-obsessed family from Colorado. When the Heene family aren’t chasing storms, they devote their time to scientific experiments that include looking for extraterrestrials and building a research-gathering flying saucer to send into the eye of the storm.

Anyone thinking Russell in Up as they heard the story unfold?

Update: The whole thing was an elaborate hoax by the Henne family to try to get a future TV project.
