Manny Pacquiao defeats Miguel Cotto in 12 rounds

Manny Pacquiao made history last night by defeating Miguel Cotto. He becomes the first boxer to get 7 title in 7 weight class divisions. There’s no question that he is the pound for pound champion.



In Pacquiao vs Cotto, Pacquiao did it with both fists to Cotto on fight night. “Pacman” dropped Cotto with a right in the second round and again with a left in the fourth round. The fight ended in the 12th round by TKO. The referee jumped in 55 seconds in to the round to stop the fight. Cotto was bloody mess by the end of the fight. Pacquiao landed almost twice as many punches as Cotto. 336 for Pacquiao vs 172 for Cotto. Add this to the list of Manny Pacquiao’s Greatest hits.



To celebrate, Manny Pacquiao booked a concert for himself after the fight. He sang 8 songs in both English and Tagalog. (See some of his singing previously on Jimmy Kimmel Live.) What next for Manny Pacquiao? He’s taking a vacation and spending time with his family. Back in the Philippines, they’re probably have a fat celebration for him. As for boxing, he’s not going higher than the 147 weight class. And everybody wants to see Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather.
