Paper Heart DVD

Paper Heart, which debuted at Sundance 2009, is now out on DVD. Here’s a synopsis of the mockumentary about love:

Charlyne Yi does not believe in love. Or so she says. Well, at the very least, she doesn’t believe in fairy-tale love or the Hollywood mythology of love, and her own experiences have turned her into yet another modern-day skeptic.

Follow Charlyne across America as she and her good friend (and director) Nicholas Jasenovec search for answers and advice about love, by talking with friends and strangers, scientists, bikers, romance novelists, and children. They each offer diverse views on modern romance, as well as various answers to the age-old question: does true love really exist? Charlyne’s pursuit to discover the nature of love takes on a fresh new urgency when she meets a boy after her own heart: Michael Cera. As their relationship develops on camera, her pursuit risks losing the person she finds closest to her heart.

Combining elements of documentary and traditional storytelling, reality and fantasy, Paper Heart brings a fresh perspective to the modern romance and redefines the classic love story.

Get the DVD at Amazon.

If you missed it, here’s some other videos Charlyne Yi was in over the summer: Dirty Dancing Spoof and Song Away by Hockey.

We’ll Make it Last All Afternoon by David Choi

Check out David Choi’s latest song. He’s bringing back that old school flavor. The song is very Michael Buble-esque. It’s a great upbeat song.

We’ll Make it Last All Afternoon by David Choi

We’ll Make it Last Afternoon by David Choi

The forecast states that we’ve got blue skies

And theres no worry when you’re up high

Birds flying next to us and

No clouds in sight to see and

Just the sun shining bright, all right, oh yeah

I’ll take you on an airplane across the world oh

I’ll take you on an airplane across the world oh

Just you and me girl, just you and me

Well make it last all afternoon

People working hard on weekdays

As little cars they sit on freeways

But were okay here

With heaven near

We threw our worries away, away

I’ll take you on an airplane across the world oh

I’ll take you on an airplane across the world oh

Just you and me girl, just you and me

Well make it last all afternoon

Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible with Dr. Michio Kaku

Have you ever wanted to travel through time like Marty McFly in “Back to the Future?” Use an invisibility cloak like Harry Potter in “The Prisoner of Azkaban?” Or fight with Luke Skywalker’s light saber from “Star Wars?” Time travel, teleportation, invisibility, force fields, parallel universes and other wild concepts are some of science fiction?s most popular ideas. However, could any of them actually become a reality? If so, then how? Science Channel teams with author and theoretical physicist Dr. Michio Kaku to explore how these technologies of science fiction can feasibly (or plausibly) become parts of human life.

Today is the premiere of a new TV series, the Science Channel’s Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible with Dr. Michio Kaku. The show is based on Dr. Kaku’s New York Times best-selling book “Physics of the Impossible,” Sci-Fi Science combines his knowledge of theoretical physics with his ability to turn high-level science into viable, intelligible blueprints for light sabers, starships, time travel and more. In each episode, Dr. Kaku is illustrating how each fantastic invention would work and could be built. As he designs each blueprint, Dr. Kaku consults with the world’s most authoritative scientists to ascertain whether or not the technologies are possible and when we might be able to manufacture each of them.

Sci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible with Dr. Michio Kaku airs regularly Tuesdays at 10 PM (ET/PT).
