Bedrock – Asian American Remix

Here’s another Asian American collabo with a remix of Young Money’s “Bedrock” with a Flintstone spin to it. Young Asian American artists across the USA (California, Oregon, Minnesota, and Illinois) put this video together. Artists featured on this track include Illmillion, Traphik, Tommy C from IBU, Lil Crazed, Skip, Dee, Phlip, and Trixx. Looks like they just created a crew. We love seeing this kinda collabo with Asian Americans music artists. Hope to see more in 2010. If you like this song, download it for FREE here.

Here’s a few recent collabos we like So Gone by Lil Crazed x Trixx x Dee, Get Up by Lil Crazed x Traphik x Wax, and Throw It in the Bag Remix by Lil Crazed and Skip. Lil Crazed seems to be busy on the collabos.

Here’s an idea. California-based hip hop Asian American artists should remake Jay Z’s “Empire State of Mind” and call it “Golden State of Mind.” Someone make it happen.

Minka: My Farmhouse In Japan

The documentary is a work in progress right now, ,but looks like a touching story. In Fall 2007, Princeton Architectural Press published “Minka: My Farmhouse In Japan,” the memoir of retired AP foreign correspondent John Roderick. Moved by the story of this remarkable house and the memories it contained, and with seed funding from the Graham Foundation, work began on a documentary film about John, his adopted son architect Yoshihiro Takishita, and the 250-year old house they shared. John died in March 2008 at the age of 93. “Minka” is a meditation on place, architecture, memory and the meanings of home.
