We had a chance to speak with Big Phony (aka Bobby Choy) about his latest album, how he got into music, his music videos, and more. We also get personal as he talks about his struggle with his identity and that comes across his music and branding.

The year of the collabo continues with this mega collab with J.R.A., D-Pryde, Lil Crazed, J.Reyez, and Traphik doing a remix of Say Ahh by Trey Songz x Fabolous. This video is just the track. Coming very soon is the video. In the meantime, you can download this remix for FREE here.

dumbfoundead interviews Bambu

dumbfoundead was invited to the music video shoot for Bambu’s song “Slow Down” off the upcoming Paper Cuts EP. It’s the lead track for the album and will feature Geologic aka Prometheus Brown. dumfoundead and Bambu chop it up on the set about his upcoming projects. (You can download “The Queen is Dead” off of Paper Cuts EP here.)

For those who aren’t familiar with Bambu, he is 1/2 of the Native Guns and is an activist as much as he is an artist. Listen to some of his recent work including Crooks & Rooks and Quit.

Apres Un Reve by Tina Guo

Cellist Tina Guo released a music video for her arrangement of “Apres Un Reve” off her “Autumn Winds” album. The video combines cello scenes shot thru a camera obsucura and intimate footage of puppets. (The puppetry work is amazing!) The music and puppetry combo evokes strong emotions.
