Comedy Zen – Tao of Comedy

Comedy Zen - Tao of Comedy

Comedy Zen is hitting up Los Angeles again. If you’re in LA this weekend, the comedic stylings of Rajiv Satyal, Kevin Shea, Owen Smith, and the Comedy Monks (Randall Park, Hasan Minhaj, and Dwayne Perkins) will be on display. Rajiv Satyal will be your host and MC. He recently scored a national Walgreens commercial. Rajiv was a former executive at Procter & Gamble and gave it all up to pursue comedy. He is consistently hand picked by Russell Peters and Kevin Nealon to perform with them. On deck: Kevin Shea who recently took honors at the NBC diversity comedy search…as a result, he signed a 1 year deal holding deal with the network. We look forward to seeing great things from him. Also on the line up, Owen Smith, you may have seen him on various commercials, the show “Everybody Hates Chris, and he will be seen in Ice Cube’s new sitcom “Are We There Yet?” The COMEDY MONKS, a new sketch comedy group, will be introduced with today’s top comedians like Randall Park (Wild ‘n Out, The Asian guy dating the cute white girl in the OLD NAVY commercial). Also joining him is ComedyZEN alum, Dwayne Perkins and Hasas Minhaj (Chelsea Lately)/

Come watch these talented comedians perform on Saturday, March 27! Portions of all shows will be going to the American Lung Association. The event will be held in the Japanese American National Museum’s new multi-million dollar facility located in the heart of Little Tokyo. Buy your tickets now! Use discount code APA for a $5 discount off each ticket.

Check out this footage of Miss Info playing SOCOM 4 with the Playstation Move from Complex Magazine. We didn’t know she was a gamer. The controllers look kinda chunky. See what Miss Info says about them. Amazon is already getting ready to sell this.

BTW – Complex Magazine has an interesting article about Yellow Fever! The Definitive History of Asian Men Dating Outside Their Race making the rounds in the Asian American blogosphere.

Help Krystle Cruz Make Her First Album

Krystle Cruz wants your help to create her first album. Here’s a little more about her project:

I started writing and recording my first album around this time last year. It has been a long and crazy journey but now the time has come to finally release it! The only problem is… you need money to make/market/promote a record. Thank goodness, Kickstarter has come to save my life! If YOU can help ME successfully fund my project (which is my album) then I can perform at various shows, create cool merchandise, and release my album both digitally and physically! So please check out the video and spread the word!

For as little as $2, you’ll get something autographed by her. To find out more, you can go here.
