Born Free by M.I.A.

Born Free by M.I.A.

M.I.A.‘s latest music video “Born FREE” was unleashed on the web yesterday. It was subsequently pulled from YouTube in the US market due to its content. The powerful nine minute piece for “Born Free,” which contains violent content, some nudity, and strong language. (Definitely NSFW).

The video show a SWAT team ransacking an apartment building in search of a red headed boy. They capture him and toss him on a bus full of red haired boys like prisoners. As the bus transports these kids, you see rebellious redheads throwing rocks and bottles at it. Once the bus reaches its destination, the bus is unloaded. This is where the most violent and disturbing scenes occur. A guard shots a kid in the head point blank and the “prisoners” are forced to run through a minefield.

The video is hard to watch, but gives you a taste of some of the various wars around the world. M.I.A. sends a clear message with her music video. If you want the track Born Free by M.I.A., you can get it on M.I.A. - Born Free - Single
You can also get this first single off her upcoming album for FREE here. She leaked her own music too. Look for the full album to drop on June 29, 2010.
