Asian Kids by Kero One x Dumbfoundead x Tablo x Myk

Asian stereotypes and racism revolve around us as we grow up as an Asian kid. Kero One x Dumbfoundead x Tablo x Myk join forces to spit rhymes about the frustration of the the jokes from William Hung to martial arts to slanted eyes. These Asian cats tear down the racist wall to make a hit. Take a listen to the lyrics on the Asian Kids track. They bring their various rap styles to address the often controversial issues of Asians in America.

Not only can you download the song on Kero One - Asian Kids feat. Tablo of Epik High, Myk, Dumbfoundead or amazon , but you can also see these cats perform this song live during the Dumbfoundead x Dok2 x MYK x Kero One Tour next week.

Asian Kids by Kero One x Dumbfoundead x Tablo x Myk

Lyrics to Asian Kids by Kero One x Dumbfoundead x Tablo x Myk

Chorus:
Have you ever seen an Asian kid, make a hit and do it quite like this,
you ever seen an Asian cat, say a rap and spit it quite like that?
have you ever seen an Asian kid, make a hit and do it quite like this,
yellow skinned rap reverends. veterans, spit eloquent take two steps back

Verse 1 – Kero One
its that laundry mat, liquor store,
rice rockets, pigeon hole,
we pushed in kicked in , pitiful
what don’t kill you, its pivotal
that elephant in that awkward house,
they reticent to talk about
these slanted eyes, those random lies,
media’s feeding us and walking out,
he said I rap dope, but look like William Hung
that made me laugh yo what a joke, really was a silly one,
but will he hung I mean hang without a username
or talking to the hand of a million fans in the middle of a pavilion,
an Asian man with a mic in hand this time not math subtracting,
accent having , fashion lacking, forget computer hacking,
my future passion is lasting, rapping, make music classic,
captain I’m packing these beats
best believe I’m going out blasting

CHORUS

verse 2 – tablo of epik high
Before i got sick on the mic i remember
I used to get picked on like a damn fender
a skinny asian boy has many names usually
chink, fob, gook and of course bruce lee
but on a looseleaf i could unlearn all of that
so i wrote profusely and it turned into rap
started burning on tracks and i caught flames
now Epik High is the shit when you drop names
like an unsigned hero making his way
i punched and kicked all labels away
here to stay, hot like illegal
Cross a dating game and bungee, i drop hot singles

CHORUS

verse 3 – MYK
it’s the year of the tiger, hands up!
for the one who paved the way, brother JK
yeah we’re all Drunken,’ only bangers are bumpin,’
from far east to the world keep their fists pumpin’
this is the new new school we are the next shit
resurrection of Bruce you fools are excess
Asiatic, ill-matic, with no static
my voice is clear it grips your ears just like it’s magic

and I thought that we over came,
some still silly really talk this way
do I really have to double up and
pull out the tricks of yesterday just to display?
that it’s not a game we play
to prove that true is how we rap
I make this music cause I’m f***n’ good at that.

Verse 4 – Dumbfoundead
it was the year 2000, no asian kids around,
none of em’ ripping microphones, just timid sittin’ down
along came a hero, his name was DFD,
at the age of 14 he was killin’ the LA scene,
he hit the road doing shows, and met cats around the globe,
kero in the bay, Blo and MYK at Map the Soul,
he later found that there were more of em’, brothers of same origin, they saw his face on youtube and emails started pouring in,
they exist, asian kids, shredding rappers into bacon bits,
another chapter in the history books, but he knows that the next page is his,
the pages turn, he waits his turn, just as he thought there he is,
chapter 2 now lets begin, the new face of Asian-Americans

OUTRO
Chinese, Korean kids put your hands up if your feeling this
Chinks, gooks, nips, put your fists up if your tired of it!

Chinks, gooks, nips, put your fists up if your tired of it!
latino, Filipino kids, put your hands up if your feeling this
Chinks, gooks, nips, put your fists up if your tired of it!

MegaMan the movie

This isn’t to the same caliber as Street Fighter Legacy, but a fan made MegaMan film is out. Keep in mind it’s not a big budget film and financed completely by MegaMan fans. Those who played the 8-bit version of the Capcom game might get a kick out of this live action film. Here’s a synopsis of the film:

In the year 20XX, Dr. Thomas Light, a Nobel Prize winning professor in the field of Robotics, creates a series of 6 revolutionary robots entitled the “Robot Master Series DRN” in an effort to use robotics as a mean to better mankind. As a personal project, Dr. Light creates 2 androids named Roll (a female) and Rock (a male) who are made to be as human as possible from appearance to behavior. Rock and Roll are, however, also created due to Light’s goal to have the children he was never able to have. Meanwhile, after the creation of the series gains Light his Nobel Prize in Physics and notoriety, his partner and colleague, Dr. Albert Wily, grows enraged and jealous of Light’s success. Secretly, a man who wants control and power. Dr. Wily decides to reprogram and steal the robot master series to do his bidding so he can wreak havoc and gain control of the city. As Wily begins to steal more of Light’s creations, it becomes clear to him he has the resources to systemically gain more and more control in an effort to reach his ultimate goal: total world domination. With a strong sense of duty and regard for humanity, Rock volunteers to receive a battle upgrade in an effort to battle Wily’s forces, thus donning the name “Megaman”. The battle for humanity is now between Megaman and all the bots at Wily’s disposal.

The some of the main lead roles are played by Asian Americans. Here’s the main cast:

Rock/Mega Man – Jun Naito
Roll – Jeanie Tse
Blues/Proto Man – Sung-Mo Cho
Dr. Thomas Light – Edward X. Young
Dr. Albert Wily – Dave Maulbeck

Along with the main characters, you’ll see a bunch of supporting robot cast like Cut Man, Guts Man, Ice Man, Bomb Man, Fire Man, Elec Man. The second half of this film picks up after the first half of character and plot development. The movie is backend loaded with fighting sequences.
