News out of the Philippines has Charice Pempengco joining the cast of Glee. According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, her Philippine manager Grace Mendoza confirmed “Yes, it’s true, Charice will soon join ‘Glee’. And not just as a guest, but as part of the cast in a new season.” See what Charice might look like on Glee below with a performance of the Glee version of Gold Digger.
Charice is making all sorts of waves in the US. With her debut self-titled album, she became the first Asian to break into the Top 10 of the Billboard album chart. In the first week of release, Charice came in at #8 on the charts. Being backed by Oprah does not hurt either.

I am so ecstatic to know that Charice will join Glee. This cute amazing kid will conquer everybody with her wonderful voice coupled with a wonderful showmanship. What a talent!
She sounds generic, Strong lungs? yes. Talent? No. Sorry but I got bored of her voice like 50 broads ago.
Ew. Are you kidding me? Her voice sounds WAY to weird to be on Glee. This show is about a group of collective talents who are ACTUALLY GOOD. There is no way she can help further the sensation of Glee. I’ll bet she ends up like the backup singers in the club already. No lead for this woman.
no way!!! i hate to say this but i dont like glee, as far as talent is concern, charice is far better than those from glee casts. if they will have a showdown, charice will swallow them totally. i am sick of their voice as if they’re good enough, gossh sooo irritating. they’re forgettable.
anway, it’s not true that charice will be part of glee, just continue promoting her album, now she is in japan doing the japanese version of her album which is no. 8 album on billboard. and in july, she will be having an europian tours. the whole month of june is her asian tour. in october, david foster and friends will conquer manila. plus a lot of radio and tv guestings for charice.
how’s that? is that what you call weird? wake up.. you are listening to the real talent. hahha, to the top Charice!!! you can’t put a talented girl down.
