Golden Boy Pilot episode with Feodor Chin

Golden Boy Pilot episode

Here’s a pretty funny pilot episode of GOLDEN BOY, which is a tongue and cheek look what it’s like to be Asian American in Hollywood with 80s references. It’s presented in 4 parts along with the “season teaser.” You may have caught this on the film festival circuit last year too. Here’s more about the show:

GOLDEN BOY is a half-hour, single camera, comedic television program in the vein of HBO’s “Extras,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and “Entourage.” GOLDEN BOY tells the story of Scott Wong, an up-and-coming Hollywood screenwriter. As Scott makes his way through the madcap world of Hollywood’s film and television industry, he is helped (and occasionally hindered) by Naomi, his actress girlfriend, and Albert “Bert” Reynolds, his “big time” agent. Can this Hollywood “golden boy” find commercial success without losing his artistic soul?

starring: Feodor Chin, Elizabeth Wright Shapiro, Joshua Murphy, with Kelvin Han Yee and Golda Inquito
executive producer/writer: Feodor Chin
director: William Lu
producers: Jason Serrato and Candice Hill
director of photography: Noah Dille
edited by: Desireh Sedaghat
additional editing by: Brad McLaughlin

Feodor Chin does double duty by being on both sides of the camera. This is his first time producing a project. (BTW – the SF native is also reppin’ the San Francisco Bay Area with some of the clothes he wears in the pilot.) Learn more about the series on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/goldenboytv .
