Jaden Hair of SteamyKitchen interview with channelAPA.com

Jaden Hair of SteamyKitchen interview with channelAPA.com

A while ago, channelAPA.com had a chance to chat with Jaden Hair of SteamyKitchen. She is one of the top food bloggers online. Her twitter account has over 50k subscribers. She is self taught from cooking to website development to food photography to social media marketing. You can see her handy work on her site steamykitchen.com. Her food photography skills are impressive. (No industry tricks involved.)

We were definitely impressed with her skills. Jaden is definitely passionate about what she does. From the interview, you can can tell she’s a fun person to hang with too. Her non-traditional approach to marketing herself and her site has flipped the food industry on its head. It’s amazing to see her multimedia approach and how she’s driven to grow her business. Look for more big things coming soon from her. She’s already got her own cookbook, The Steamy Kitchen Cookbook. (Check out athe recipe for Firecracker Shrimp) She’s already writing for TLC and has been on the Today Show and The Early Show too. Could TV be next for her? Someone give her a TV Show. (Where are Food Network’s Asian Girls and Boys?)

The Call with communitychannel

The Call with communitychannel

Phone call split screen action in this latest communitychannel video. Natalie Tran pokes fun of multi-way calls and sex hot lines. Everything is covered from naked girls, seediness, late night infommercials, and stars covering nude bits. We might don’t want to know what kind of search engine traffic we’ll get from this post.

Mortal Kombat Rebirth

Mortal Kombat Rebirth

We posted some footage of Street Fighter Legacy a few weeks back. Another fighting franchise Mortal Kombat is retaliating with it’s own video guaranteed to go viral. Check out Mortal Kombat Rebirth. This may be a clip from the Mortal Kombat movie slated for 2013 release. Some of the MK characters in the clip include Reptile, Baraka, Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung, Hanzo Hasashi (aka Scorpion), Sonya Blade, and Sub-Zero.

update: Matt Mullins who plays Johnny Cage states, “Here is a sizzle reel I helped with for Mortal Kombat 3. I play Johnny Cage! Kevin Tancharoen Directed Larnell Stovall did fight choreography and reel stars Michael Jai White, Jeri Ryan, Lateef Crowder, and Ian Anthony Dale.” Supposedly, it’s a test to try to sell Warner Bros. a darker vision for Mortal Kombat. Kevin Tancharoen directed last year’s Fame remake.

Mortal Kombat Rebirth

update: Kevin Tancharoen speaks with Collider about the Mortal Kombat project. Take a listen:

Here’s some of the highlights from the interview:

* They shot the short film over two days on two RED cameras
* Started in early April and it took 2 months to do the post production. Most people donated their time. The short was made for $7,500
* Knew if he was going to get a chance at a genre picture, he’d have to show he could do it on his own. This is a calling card for a chance at making the next Mortal Kombat feature film and it’s his vision for how he’d do it.
* No one at any studio knew he was doing the short
* Oren Uziel wrote the short. He’s currently listed on IMDb to write the next Mortal Kombat movie at Warner Bros.
* Says he wants to make a movie that balances the real world with the mysticism and the special powers. Compares it to the way Harry Potter exists in two worlds. As in there are two universes that coexist with each other.
* Confirms “fatalities” are definitely in his movie. He wants to put them in the tournament in an “organic way”
* Definitely would use “get over here” (the classic line from the game)
* Michael Jai White plays Jax Briggs in the short and he’d definitely be a part of the feature.
* Says Scorpion is the bad guy and will stay a bad guy
* They only had 4 hours to shoot the big fight scene
