The characters keep rolling out for The LXD. Former LXD members now in hiding are called to action with the start of the Uprising. Two of those are former lovers Katana and Jato. They must let go of their past for the good of the group, but their connection is undeniably strong. They manage to do a duet in separate locations.

The buzz keeps rolling for the cast of the Asian Jersey Shore. The paparazzi are now covering the KTown Reality Show Cast. Young Lee, Jennifer Field, Joey Cha, Scarlett Chan, Peter Le and Jasmine Chang were caught outside Le Cercle in Koreatown, LA. Cameras weren’t rolling but their provocative side still came out. The guys seem to like showing off their bodies. Missing were the Kims – Steve Kim and Violet Kiim. No word yet if the show has been picked up.

One week after Jeremy Lin signed with the Golden State Warriors, he’s already speaking to kids at Warriors Basketball Camp for kids ages 7 to 15 . In his previous interviews, he’s talked a lot about being a role model. Listen to his speech about skill development, the importance of fundamentals, and a healthy team attitude. It might even inspire you. Are you passionate about what you’re doing?

During this event we learned that Jeremy Lin was flying out to Taiwan to play in Yao Ming’s Charity game. He was invited by Yao Ming personally.

Linkin Park has teamed up with Medal of Honor. Yes, the video game. Linkin Park is leaping out of the 8-bit world to the latest technology. The first track, “The Catalyst”, off their upcoming album “A Thousand Suns” will be in the first person shooter. (You’ll recall that Linkin Park collaborated with fans for the track.) Joe Hahn directed the the video to premiere on August 1, 2010 (That’s the day before the single The Catalyst is released). Medal of Honor won’t be available until October 12, 2010. The TNParty 2010

Los Angeles, this is the Asian American party to be at this weekend. Mix and mingle with the movers and shakers in Asian American arts and entertainment.

The hidden gem of Los Angeles, Tuesday Night Project (TNP), celebrates its 12th year of free multidisciplinary arts programming in Downtown Los Angeles. Since 1999, their flagship series, the “1st & 3rd Tuesday Night Cafe,” has presented a variety of Asian American and Los Angeles artists performing music, poetry, visual art, comedy improv, short films, and performance art. In celebration, TNP presents the “TNParty: Annual Benefit for the Tuesday Night Project” on July 31st in the JACCC Plaza at 244 S San Pedro St, Los Angeles, CA 90012, from 5PM to 11PM. It will be TNP’s 2nd annual fundraiser, featuring DJs, live music, a silent art auction, live painters throughout the Plaza, and a special “Video-Collider mash-up”/ninety minutes of 60-second videos from LA artists strung together and projected onstage by partner Visual Communications to “mash-up” with the DJs that follow the live music performances.

With free admission for kids 12 and under, the TNParty will begin with a family hour featuring Mista Cookie Jar, and taiko with Pro Ta and poongmul (korean drumming) with Freedom Sounds. A full evening of music will also include performers: Bambu, formerly of the Native Guns; Harlem Lee, winner of 2003 TV show Fame; Rocky Rivera and DJ Roza; and Tuesday Night Project Resident Artists Durwood (Golda Inquito and Gertie Meza) collaborating with David Tran a.k.a Applesauce; Dawen; Shin Kawasaki; and Sue Jin with Jenny San Angel. Featured vendors will include family-owned catering businesses along with several independent artisans selling everything from jewelry to painted light switch plates.
