Earlier this year, we got a channelAPA.com exclusive from Dan of afterschoolspecial that they’d be collaborating with Wong Fu Productions and Paul Dateh on a music video. A few weeks ago the production of the music video officially got underway. afterchoolspecial is retooling their single NAME with a wicked violin solo by Paul Dateh. Helming the music video will be the guys of Wong Fu Productions. You can expect great things with a collabo like this. It’s the first time that these guys have all worked together on a music video.

In addition to the music video, afterschoolspecial has gone back to the studio to record a brand new album releasing in fall 2010. They’ll have 10-11 tracks on the upcoming album. Listen to some of the snippets of the new music in the video below. More rock x rap coming soon.

Here’s some of afterschoolspecial’s music: Future Rockstars of America, Not One for Words, and Bad Education. Wong Fu Productions has been helping Asian American artists do music videos for a while.
