Lyrics to Little Miss Innocent by J.Reyez x Chris Jackson

Little Miss Innocent
Although you may have them all fooled
Girl I know the truth [I know, I know]
I know what you’re up to [I know what you’re up to now]
Frontin’ like you’re so shy but it’s a disguise
Cause’ you’re stealing this hear of mine
I know what you do
Girl I’m on to you

And it’s hard to explain it
But I’ll try again lets start with the basics
This girl got me intrigued
Good girl but it’s hard to believe
I don’t know if she the type I would kick it with
She seem like she the wife I could live it with
If she rides I don’t know what I’ve driven in
If it was race I don’t know when I’m finishing
I see the front like she’s Little Miss Innocent
I see the back and I see a big difference
Tight jeans, long shirt keeps it covered up
I’m confused I don’t know if I discovered love
If it is then you got me confused girl
I feel like I’m in two worlds
And usually I don’t mind the wait
To find out but I ain’t got time to waste

Little Miss Innocent
Although you may have them all fooled
Girl I know the truth [I know, I know]
I know what you’re up to [I know what you’re up to now]
Frontin’ like you’re so shy but it’s a disguise
Cause’ you’re stealing this hear of mine
I know what you do
Girl I’m on to you

[There’s this girl that I know]
And she tries to blend in
She acts like she’s independent
Louis V bags but that ain’t yours girl
She don’t stop, she a back-for-more-girl
Guys giving her compliments
But really, what is that accomplishing?
Just a boost to her ego
You don’t get it but I guarantee she knows
[Yeah] Always playing mind games
Sorry miss that don’t fit in my time frame
And that’s the type she is
She really shops at the Bay she a hyphy B*tch
She in control and she got them all staring
They’re all turning heads to check what she wearing
Without caring but I don’t believe her
Whatever you see, first do your research

Little Miss Innocent
Although you may have them all fooled
Girl I know the truth [I know, I know]
I know what you’re up to [I know what you’re up to now]
Frontin’ like you’re so shy but it’s a disguise
Cause’ you’re stealing this hear of mine
I know what you do
Girl I’m on to you

[Yeah, you don’t look so innocent to me though
Oh by the way, you’re not miss independent
So stop feeling that]

Don’t Go Please Stay by Nessa Rica

Lyrics to Don’t Go Please Stay by Nessa Rica

Please close the door
I heard when it rains, it pours
Your coat I wore
Reaching right down to the floor

My cheeks exposed
To cold wind when it blows I glow
I keep composed
When I feel you near and close

And I said
Don’t go, please stay
Don’t want it any other way
Don’t go, please stay
Rain, rain, go away; come again another day

I begged, I plead
For you to stay will you agree?
When I am in your sweater
Who cares about the weather
As long as I’m with you and we’re together

And I said
Don’t go, please stay
Don’t want it any other way
Don’t go, please stay
Rain, rain, go away; come again another day

Oh…
Oh…

I know I may be out of line
But baby, you’re so fine
And I couldn’t live without you, wouldn’t live without you,
Even if I had to, I wouldn’t know what I’d do
You came into my life on time

So baby,
Don’t go, please stay
Don’t want it any other way
Don’t go, please stay
Rain, rain, go away; come again another day

Don’t go, please stay
Don’t want it any other way
Don’t go, please stay
Rain, rain, go away; come again another day

Please close the door
I heard when it rains, it pours.

Collaboratory VIII: Order to Go!

Collaboratory VIII: Order to Go!

If you’re in the Los Angeles area, Great Leap invites you to come out on Saturday, September 11, 2010 for the culminating performance for their annual mentorship program,  Collaboratory VIII, exploring the environmental impact of single-use food containers and utensils.

Hosted by Amy Hill, this performance features the work of artists Janet Dandridge, June Kaewsith, Zumi Mizokami, Ayuko Sato and Shannon Shue. The evening’s festivities will also include performances by Nobuko and friends as well as a live screening of B.Y.O.Chopstix!

As a conscious effort to make their cause known, Great Leap made a music video in order to address the environmental impact of disposable wooden chopsticks. Directed by Dan Kwong and starring Nobuko, this funny yet pointed music video hopes to encourage people to “bring your own” chopsticks when eating out to help the 100 billion pairs of wood chopsticks that are thrown away every year.

Great Leap will be showing this music video at the Collaboratory VIII: Order to Go performance. For more information and to purchase tickets, go here.
