Stand My Ground by Mondega

Stand My Ground by Mondega

Mondega dropped the second single released off his “For the People” LP. The music video offers a visual representation of a transition from darkness to light, from inside to outside. He’s all about using hip hop for higher achievement. In his first album in 3 years, Mondega amplifies the indigenous peoples cry for basic human rights destroyed by corrupt laws after decades of genocide, war, economic exploitation and social degradation from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Burma. The entire album is ordered in a chronological format that shift the listeners from chaos and warfare to immigration and culture shock in America. The struggle continue as a young man leaves the streets to balance love, family, friendship and music in a country where Asian American acts are rarely supported by the mainstream audience.

Also check out his first track Listen To My Song. His new album gets released today. Look for an interview with channelAPA.com soon.

G.A.Y.S. (Guys Against You Serving) with John Cho

John Cho along with comedians Sarah Silverman, Tom Lennon, Dave Holmes, “Weird” Al Yankovic, Jenny Lennon and Alex Fernie put out a mock PSA for G.A.Y.S. (Guys Against You Serving). This new organization tells you exactly why they don’t want gays serving in the military. The short pokes fun at the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy of the US government.

No matter where you stand on this issue. Be sure to vote this November. Here’s a few other PSAs telling you why you should vote: Reel in the Vote with Randall Park, Officer Bart Kwan wants you to vote, Embrace Your Power with Kelly Hu and George Takei, and Power of the Swing Vote
