Tim Lincecum highlights – Giants vs Brave game 1

Tim Lincecum highlights - Giants vs Brave game 1

Tim Lincecum struck out a team playoff-record 14 in a two-hit shutout to outduel Braves starter Derek Lowe, as the Giants took a 1-0 lead in the NLDS. Lincecum, who has pitched four regular-season shutouts, including a two-hitter, fell short of his career-high strikeout total by one. When he struck out the side in the second inning, all nine strikes he threw prompted swings, and 12 of his 14 strikeouts were swinging. All these K’s for the Giants the big W at the end of the game. The reigning two-time NL Cy Young Award winner will be a major factor in the postseason for the Giants. Watch out for the FreaKKKKKKKK in October.

Waiting For The End by Linkin Park

Waiting For The End by Linkin Park

Today Linkin Park premiers the music video for “Waiting for the End” off the album “A Thousand Suns.” It was an opportunity for them to experiment with pushing the digital envelope as it pertains to the visual language created so far for A Thousand Suns. Here’s Joe Hahn’s vision for the music video:

It was my attempt to digitally crush us to the point that you feel the soul of the music through what has become the essence of us. We become the ghosts in the machine. Some may say that because of technology, we lose a sense of who we are. I counter that by illustrating that we can get closer to who we are if we sift through the noise. If this sounds like it’s too ‘out there,’ just ignore what I said and enjoy the pretty pictures.

The music video is visually stunning to look at utilizing a constellation effect and x-ray machine. Cop “Waiting for the End” on Waiting or amazon.

Happyslip has a baby

Happyslip has a baby

A few months back, Happyslip announced that she was having a second child. The baby was born a few weeks back.
Congrats to Happyslip! Here’s more about the baby:

On Sept. 18, my husband and I were proud to welcome the arrival of our second son – Ian Noah. “Ian” means “God is Gracious” and “Noah” means “Rest & comfort”. That “red cherry tomato” clip in the beginning of this video was recorded when he was 3 days old.

The video has the Happyslip family each have different responses to the new baby including the cute attack, the “i’m not sure what to do with you”, the nervous, the “i need to give advice”, and the “singing and giving money.” This kid is going to be very confused with all the Happyslip characters.

i wrote and recited this for a “get out the vote,” event on sept 17th, 2010, in los angeles, ca. though performed in front of an audience primarily of asian descent, the content of this piece is for everyone to become more involved making their government reflect their needs. there are too many people to thank for this. for supporting my voice. for making this video. for putting together the event in which it was filmed. for working so hard to build a better world for something greater than themselves.

Check yourself in November before you wreck yourself. After you vote, you may see Asians, Asians Everywhere.
