He personalized the song for Ellen including singing to her toward the end. Be sure to get his album Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Peter Hernandez, better known as Bruno Mars, has had musical talent since he was a child. At the age 4, he was a young Elvis impersonator for his uncle’s band. In high school, he continued impersonating famous stars until he graduated and moved to Los Angeles.

Bruno Mars struggled when he first arrived, but met songwriter Phillip Lawrence. The pair teamed up as The Smeezingtons. Together they wrote songs including “Long Distance” for Brandy and “Right Round” for Flo Rida. After writing top song, he ventured in to singing. Bruno Mars teamed up with B.o.B. for the song “Nothing on You” and Travie McCoy for “Billionaire”. At the beginning of October, he released his debut album, “Doo-Wops & Hooligans.” His first single, “Just the Way You Are,” hit #1 and has sold over a million digital downloads.
