Russian Mystery with Kevjumba

Kevjumba and his dad got eliminated from in the latest episode of Amazing Race Season 17. Kevjumba recaps his experience and talks about the pair of penalties Team Jumba received, which ultimately resulted in a heartbreaking loss for them. (Watch Amazing Race Season 17 Episode 7.) Ever since channelAPA.com revealed the KTown Reality show cast, our site has been lit up with both positive and negative comments. Since then, we’ve also seen more provocative Ktown show photos and even the “Asian Jersey Shore” casting reel. It’s been a wild storm of conflicting comments without one episode even airing. Recently, we had a chance to chat with some of the producers for the Asian American reality show, Mike Le and Eddie Kim. They talk about the reaction from Asian American community, the biggest misconception of the show, and the stereotypes they want to break.

Producer Mike Le also wrote and intriguing piece: No Time For Love, Dr. Jones! (or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Produced a Reality Show), which talks about some of the behind the scenes activities as well as his perspectives on the show.

The holidays are right around the corner. Former American Idol contestant Sway Penala (Remember him from Season 5?) presents his own rendition of Winter Wonderland. Sway performs the holiday classic true to it’s original style, but adds a little of his own flair. You can also sing-a-long with him with lyrics in the video. His soulful version of Winter Wonderland was selected for an exclusive holiday compilation featuring other fellow American Idol alum too. Look for the album to come out in time for the holidays.

Rizwan Manji talks Rajiv on Outsourced

Rizwan Manji stars in NBC’s new comedy series Outsourced as Rajiv Gidwani, the assistant manager of the Mid America Novelties call center in India, who dreams of someday taking over as manager in order to move out of his parents’ house and get married. He is desperate for Todd (Ben Rappaport) to either succeed quickly or fail and go home, so he can replace him as the manager of the call center.

Manji was born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and was raised in Calgary, Alberta where he attended Crescent Heights High School. His ancestry is from a small village in Gujarat, India, however both his parents were raised and met in Tanzania, East Africa. Manji graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. He currently makes Studio City, California his home.

More about Rizwan Manji
Prior to Outsourced, Rizwan Manji was cast as a series regular in the ABC pilot “Fourplay” from executive producers David Kohan and Max Mutchnick (“Will ↦ Grace”). Recently Manji has been seen on “Glee,” “How I Met Your Mother,” and “Hawthorne,” as well as recurring on “FlashForward,” “Three Rivers,” and “Better off Ted.” Manji also recurred as Ahman on the final season of “24,” though he is probably best known for playing the cantankerous butler Rami on the series “Privileged.”

His film credits include supporting roles in “Charlie Wilson’s War,” “Transformers,” and the upcoming “Morning Glory.”

The purpose of this song “GLORY” is to challenge us to live for a purpose that is bigger than ourselves. This is what the entire “GLORY” album is about. Every song explains a different aspect of GLORY, what it truly is and how we can live it out. Every song on this album will have a mission of giving back to others. A percentage of all digital downloads will be given to different social causes that the listeners can choose to give to personally. We are going to create an interactive social network for everyone to contribute their ideas on how to make a difference by helping those in need in our society through each song on the album.
