Lyrics to What If by Summer Breeze

Readin every line singin every praise puttin your life on repeat
A melody and a beat
Earth and stars, Venus to Mars
Layin down on
Your cloud putting the whole world to pause and then smile
your heart reveals that things will be alright.
but one question that boggles my mind.

what if we’re meant to be
could you be my light
standing next to me
across from paradise
if only you could see
the fire in my soul
reachin out for someone
for someone to hold
someone like you.
someone like you…

New to old from stories untold
No one knew that your mind is filled with harmony and rhymes
East to west the suns’
Ready to set, she smiles anyways
On her worst possible days and then smiles
your heart reveals that things will be alright.
but one question that boggles my mind.

what if we’re meant to be
could you be my light
standing next to me
across from paradise
if only you could see
the fire in my soul
reachin out for someone
for someone to hold

what if we’re meant to be
could you be my light
standing next to me
across from paradise
if only you could see
the fire in my soul
reachin out for someone
for someone to hold
someone like you…
like you…

your heart reveals that things will be alright
but one question that boggles my mind
what if we’re meant…
to be

what if we’re meant to be? “What If?” only God knows.

More about The Resistance web series
Set in the dying world of Aurordeca, THE RESISTANCE is an action-packed thriller revolving around an epic tale of destiny and revenge.

SYRUS PRIMORIS (Adrian Zaw), a brilliant chemist, has taken control of the ten regions of Aurordeca in the wake of a devastating plague. Half the population is already dead. It is only Syrus and his miracle suppressant, NOXE, that keep the survivors from succumbing to the virus. In exchange, the people grant Syrus absolute power.

Only one group stands in open opposition to the regime. The Aurordecan Resistance Movement (ARM), led by the fierce and driven LANA. ARM sees Syrus for the despot he truly is and fights tirelessly to find a cure for the disease and to free the people from their enslavement to the suppressant. But everything changes through a chance encounter with a mysterious and deadly drifter, ARCLITE. In our exciting first installment of The Resistance, LANA searches for a microchip that contains crucial information; Syrus plots to bring down ARM once and for all; and a mysterious stranger might hold the answer to saving the world.

Bonging Along by Joe Kingston

Bonging Along by Joe Kingston

Joe Kingston put out a stoner track “Bonging Along.” It’s a song about a girl, her bong, and a guy who’s having a hard time competing. The music has some great ukulele, standup bass, and Hawaiian style tunes. It stars Ella Aki as Trixie Fong and Joe Kingston as Joe. Filmed on locations all over Oahu, HI, the music video premiered at Honolulu’s premiere underground film festival Showdown in Chinatown. Shouldn’t this feel good track in the next Harold and Kumar movie?

BTW – Joe Kingston is apparently Maxine Hong Kingston’s son. (author of Woman Warrior.) The song reminds us of these videos Smoke Smarter and After Prop 19 with Lynn Chen

Lip Ring Girl by Public Gluttony

Lip Ring Girl by Public Gluttony

Public Gluttony put out a fun punk rock love song called “Lip Ring Girl”. It’s their first official music video on Youtube. Fans of Blink 182 and Green Day will like this one. The catchy track goes out to all the lip ring girls out there. The music video stars band members Thomas (Vocals, Bass), Jmic (Drums), John (Guitar), Andrew (Vocals, Guitar), and Sierra (Vocals) along with import car model Novella Nikita as the lip ring girl. Nice ending referencing one of Public Gluttony’s other song Bible Chick.

Lyrics to Lip Ring Girl by Public Gluttony

I saw her in room 202.
I knew that she was meant for you.
Nothing for me ever comes free,
Nothing ever comes free nothing ever comes free for me.
I saw her walking down the hall.
I heard her call your name.
I had to refrain from screaming out from screaming out her name.

Bridge:
She had a beautiful smile, but i was still stuck in denial.
What can I do?

Chorus:
Lip Ring Girl, you look so good tonight. Lip Ring Girl.

I followed her home one after noon.
Her dad thought i was a loon.
He called the cops on me, i got arrested by some black dude named jerry.
I got a tattoo of her face.
She got a can of mace.
She emptied the entire can into my eyes, i want to die.

Bridge:
She had a beautiful smile, but i was still stuck in denial.
What can I do?

Chorus:
Lip Ring Girl, you look so good tonight. Lip Ring Girl.

Lip Ring girl, o o o. (x5)
Why don’t you look this way.
Why don’t you come this way.
You are my lip ring girl.
Come on my lip ring girl.
Lip ring girl.
