Tribute to Nujabes by Jason Yang

Tribute to Nujabes by Jason Yang

Jason Yang put together a sweet tribute to Nujabes. The multi-talented musician hits the drums, keyboard and violin for the video. here’s a special statement from Jason Yang:

Nujabes was and still is one of my favorite artists of all time. There’s just something about his music that makes me happy, relaxed and inspired. I always dreamed of meeting and jamming with him someday and, although that isn’t possible anymore, I’m motivated to create beautiful music like he did during his lifetime. Jun Seba, thank you for the inspiration; I will be listening to your music forever!

He’s rocking two track in the tribute: first song: “Feather” and second song: “Don’t Even Try It”

Beach Justice with Freddie Wong

Beach Justice with Freddie Wong
Freddie Wong and his crew unveiled the last 2 minutes of their made for TV movie “Beach Justice: The Academy.” They claim to have shot 90 minutes, but lost the first 88 minutes due to hard drive combustion. (for some reason, they chose not to back up anything.) For what they salvaged, it looks corny like most made for TV movies. Here’s the logline: When Detective Rick “Bones” Fujimoto gets assigned to the Beach Squad, he gets more than he bargained for! The ending is pretty cool tho. Nice work by Freddie and crew putting the piece together.

This was shot during Freddie Wong’s Youtube Roadtrip in Atlanta. Who’s ready for Freddie the Action Hero.

Fast Don’t Lie Remix

Fast Don't Lie Remix

Here’s a super dope remix for the adidas commercial Fast Don’t Lie featuring Slim Chin (aka Ken Jeong), Dwight Howard, and Derrick Rose. The trio admonish aspiring ballers – both literal and figurative! – on how one should become truly successful in the world with a rousing hook, “Fast Don’t Lie.’ With success mainly being measured by dunks, and also, cubic meters of caviar. It’s all about the quickishness.

Fast Don’t Lie Remix

Lyrics to Fast Don’t Lie Remix

What up world?
I’m Slim Chin, ‘Beast from the Far East.’
This is Dwight Howard
‘Beast from the Regular East.’
Think i got this crib by being slow?
I got this ’cause i’m fast!
Think i got this solid gold jet ski by being slow?
I got this ’cause i’m fast!
Fast Don’t Lie
Fast Don’t Lie

Think i got this caviar pool by being slow?
I got this ’cause i’m fast!
Think i got this benjamin pile by being slow?
I got this ’cause i’m fast!
Off quicker than a prom dress,
A prom dress.
TIME’S UP!
You’re too slow.

*spoken tenderly*
Dwight, play that thing that you play so well.
No, not really.
No, close.
I, I got it.
Sing Song Time!

*sung*
Fast Don’t Lie!
Fast Don’t Lie!
F-A-S-T, D-U-N-T, L-I-E.
EEEEEEEEE
FAST DON’T LIE!
WHAT?
FAST DON’T LIE!

Get freaky, get, get freaky,
Get freaky like my LADY PYRAMID!

*yelled*
I’m Slim Chin and I’m OUT!

More about The Resistance web series
Set in the dying world of Aurordeca, THE RESISTANCE is an action-packed thriller revolving around an epic tale of destiny and revenge.

SYRUS PRIMORIS (Adrian Zaw), a brilliant chemist, has taken control of the ten regions of Aurordeca in the wake of a devastating plague. Half the population is already dead. It is only Syrus and his miracle suppressant, NOXE, that keep the survivors from succumbing to the virus. In exchange, the people grant Syrus absolute power.

Only one group stands in open opposition to the regime. The Aurordecan Resistance Movement (ARM), led by the fierce and driven LANA. ARM sees Syrus for the despot he truly is and fights tirelessly to find a cure for the disease and to free the people from their enslavement to the suppressant. But everything changes through a chance encounter with a mysterious and deadly drifter, ARCLITE. In our exciting first installment of The Resistance, LANA searches for a microchip that contains crucial information; Syrus plots to bring down ARM once and for all; and a mysterious stranger might hold the answer to saving the world.

Intervention by Margaret Cho

Intervention by Margaret Cho

In her latest music video, Margaret Cho faces an intervention from her friends and family. It’s the first song on the Cho Dependent album because it’s the first one she wants everyone to hear. Not only is the track hilarious, but it’s also deeply sympathetic and truthful. Cho states that “I think having to have an actual intervention would be a true nightmare, and so writing the words to the song were a kind of prayer, a mantra against it ever actually happening to me.” The song features lines like “No more hugs til you give up drugs.” Along with Margaret Cho, the video has co-songwriters and identical twin sisters Tegan and Sara Quin along with Dancing with the Stars partner Louis Van Amstel making a cameo. And of course, you can’t have a successful intervention without the inevitable group hug at the end of the video.

Despite what you might think, the song is not about the TV show “Intervention” about addiction and recovery.

Intervention is the fourth music video off the Cho Dependent album. See her previous music videos for Eat Sh*t and Die,I’m Sorry, and Lice. The album is hilarious. You can get the album on Lice - Cho Dependent or Amazon.
