8 Dates with Phil Wang of Wong Fu Productions

Phil Wang of Wong Fu Productions got his acting chops on and landed date #2 on the online series 8 Dates, a new web series by Matt Koval (the main frat boy in Funemployed). It’s about a girl, Ava, who’s getting dating help from her cousin, played by Matt. Her assignment is to go on 8 dates leading up to Valentine’s day, and along the way she learns lessons. Phil plays an armless date in “8 Dates: Out on a Limb.” All judgment aside, could you date someone missing something important? See the behind the scenes footage as Phil talks about what dating is really like for himself.

One Day by Jennifer Chung

Lyrics to One Day by Jennifer Chung

Unexpected, like a shooting star.
That’s how we started, adoration from afar.
But we lost it, we couldn’t reach the bar.
Now I’m nowhere near where you are.
Our ties are broken and apart.

[Chorus]
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day.
We’ll cross each other’s way,
And have a chance to say, “For you, I’m happy.”
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day.
We’ll grab a coffee and share stories
About the woman you love,
And the man that I’ve met,
And have no regrets ’cause in the end,
It was for the best.

We were joyful,
A scrapbook lives just to prove it.
But we argued,
Passions, thoughts, they all collided.
We sang that we were “Meant To Be.”
But baby, we were wrong.
Perhaps that wasn’t quite our song.

[Chorus]
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day.
We’ll cross each other’s way,
And have a chance to say, “For you, I’m happy.”
Oh maybe, one day, oh, one day.
We’ll grab a coffee and share stories
About the woman you love,
And the man that I’ve met,
And have no regrets ’cause in the end,
It was for the best.

[Bridge]
I can cry, but where would that get me?
You could lie and say you were never happy.
The well is dry, we’re tired and we’re thirsty.
I,
bid you goodbye.

Oh, one day, oh, one day.
Oh, one day, oh, one day.
Oh, one day, oh, one day.

This Year by Big Will

This Year by Big Will

Rapper Big Will is giving us a new look on his latest track “This Year.” It’s not the type of song you’re used to hearing from him. Here’s a special message about this single:

This is a break up song for all those out there. One of the slower songs I’ve created. I hear a lot of homies breaking up these days. I know it’s rough, and I been through it myself. In this song is what I’ve documented from life. Become a better man this year! Treat your lover right, and take care of them as a real man would. This Year is a song written about a break up or divorce with a couple. They can be rough, I know the pain, but everything will be just fine. Have hope and keep the faith, I promise it will all be just fine. I wish the best to all the couples and people out there! Happy new year!

You can download the track for FREE here. For more Big Will, check out Anything You Like and In My Shoes.

Lyrics to This Year by Big Will

Chorus 1

No matter what it takes, baby I will change
I swear on everything my love is true
And everything I do, and everything I say
I do it all for you and only you
So baby what do you say?
Give me another chance, I swear I’ll make it right
Believe I’ll make it right
I’m gonna be a better man. This year

Verse 1

Every time I look into the mirror I want to see a better man
Need another chance baby I know I’ve got strikes on hand
We can never give up, see my love is so strong
So strong, can’t believe in the fact that you are really gone
Seems unreal when I think about our past times
All the plans that we had, must be the reason I’m so sad
Because I loved you so much, and now I’m sippin’ by myself
Asking God for help, praying for a better hand dealt
And though I miss you so, I gotta keep myself focused
Everything is so bogus, this is something I can’t roll with
No pain in this world compares to the pain I feel inside
When you said goodbye, lost everything important in my life
I’m so stressed building on a dream that doesn’t exist
And now I’ve realized all we had don’t mean shit
It’s hard not to think about you every single second
Waiting for the day you come back, I want you to know

Chorus 2

No matter what it takes, baby I will change
I swear on everything my love is true
And everything I do, and everything I say
I do it all for you and only you
So baby what do you say?
Give me another chance, I swear I’ll make it right
Believe I’ll make it right
I’m gonna be a better man. This year

Verse 2

All I have are pictures on the phone I’d thought we’d be together
Until the end of time, thought our love was gonna last forever
Now it’s hard times, fell so hard, so many fears
So many sleepless nights and I cried so many tears
In this nightmare, I don’t really want to fight back
When I’m feeling so weak, it’s even hard to speak
Seems like being stranded in the empathy is right
Smoking cigarettes and waking up in the middle of the night
I’d rather take a bullet, than go through all this grief
How long will it last? How many days, how many weeks?
It’s true every time it rains it pours, there’s nothing I can do
Everything I see reminds me of what we used to do
And thinking about the past ain’t helping me at all
Show me being lonely try to catch me before I fall
And if you said no, my world can end right in front of me
I want to be a better man because I’m my worst enemy, damn

Chorus 3

No matter what it takes, baby I will change
I swear on everything my love is true
And everything I do, and everything I say
I do it all for you and only you
So baby what do you say?
Give me another chance, I swear I’ll make it right
Believe I’ll make it right
I’m gonna be a better man. This year

Bridge

Give me your heart and I’ll give you everything
Show me your love and I’ll give you everything
I need you here with me, baby aint’ you hearing me
Because it feels like I’m lost, and I can’t take it
I can’t take it no

No matter what it takes, I’m going to do whatever I can to make it right, I promise.
