Get ready to follow Athena Lee and Jay Lim on the hit competition series Top Shot. The show returns for Season 2 rearmed and reloaded from HISTORY channel. Sixteen fearless marksmen, carefully selected from thousands of applicants, will aim for the $100,000 prize package and the title of “Top Shot.” The all-new cast of 14 men and two women includes a 10-time NRA pistol champ, two former world shooting champs, a Texas cop, a Jersey shore Air Force sniper, a Bronze Star recipient, and representatives from four branches of the military. Trials include shooting from the back of a moving vehicle, based on a WWII training exercise, shooting while hanging from a 125 foot crane and even shooting while being turned upside down. Firearms in the contestants’ arsenal will include the iconic “Tommy Gun,”.44 Magnum and a .50 caliber sniper rifle, as well as primitive weapons like the Tomahawk and blow gun. High-speed HD cameras capture the skillful execution of each test in extreme slow-motion. The 13-week series premieres Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10pm ET on the HISTORY channel.

Here’s more on Athena Lee and Jay Lim:

Athena Lee on Top Shot Season 2

Athena Lee: “Who doesn’t want to see a short, Asian chick kick butt?” On the pro circuit, kicking butt is exactly what Athena’s done. After winning two world IPSC Championship titles on the Philippine Ladies Team–and getting increasingly frustrated with the restrictions on professional shooters there–Athena emigrated to the U.S., where in 2008, she helped win a world title for the American women’s team. In addition to competing, she was also a firearms instructor in Houston where she is passionate about opening people’s minds about the sport of shooting–and who can be good at it. “It’s a good feeling to be competing with a bunch of guys who are bigger than I am.” Watch the video and you’ll be impressed by her shooting skills.

Jay Lim on Top Shot Season 2

Jay Lim: “I’m not just a shooter, I’m an athlete. I’m a thinker. I’m all that. Whatever I think–I can get my body to do.” Jay Lim is an amateur shooter who believes his natural abilities can earn him the Top Shot title. Boastful? Maybe. But this golf instructor can back it up. He has competed in archery events on a national level, once taking him all the way to the 2004 Olympic Trials. And he doesn’t just excel at archery–Jay competes with the air pistol, air rifle, skeet and handgun. He’s a self-described over-achiever who loves marksmanship because “there is perfection in shooting, and that is what I strive for.”

Newcomer Francis Kang released a music video for “Home Sweet Home.” When things look bleak, where can you turn to? This is only part one. Looking forward to see what he’s got lined up with the Michael Buble-esque vocals.

Lyrics to Home Sweet Home by Francis Kang

I’m standing near a parking lot
Deciding if I ever should go home
Home is so comfortable
Coffee and a blanket keeps me warm
Can’t forget the fireplace
Without it turns into a frigid cave

I’ve made up my mind
Not staying outside
Cause its cold out
Maybe it’s time
To say my goodbyes
Before I go back
To Home Sweet Home

I run to start my engine
Radios on its Nat King Cole
Later on Sinatra
Driving very slowly, passing the snow
I see my destination
When I arrive, I’ll scream for joy

I’ve made up my mind
Not staying outside
Cause its cold out
Maybe it’s time
To say my goodbyes
Before I go back
To Home Sweet Home

Repeat Chorus
