Ricky & Ravi (are in between jobs) – Episode 1

Ricky & Ravi (are in between jobs) - Episode 1

Ravi Patel co-stars in the new web series “Ricky & Ravi (are in between jobs).” In the series, two best friends get fired and then get fired up. No telling what these two unemployed workplace buddies are capable of. For the pilot episode, the duo has some new ideas brewing. Kinda reminds us of Funempoyed.

You may recognize Ravi as the telephone operator in the first Transformer movie.

Jaden Hair Slashfood's 2011 Hottest Women in the Food Industry Padma Lakshmi Slashfood's 2011 Hottest Women in the Food Industry

Recently, Slashfood released the list of the Hottest Women in the Food Industry for 2011. These women sizzle in person and in the kitchen. Two Asian American women stand out on the list: Padma Lakshmi and Jaden Hair. You may recognize these sexy chefs.

Padma Lakshmi took the top spot on the 2010 list, but dropped two spots on this year’s list. The host of Bravo’s Top Chef series looked hot a a few year’s ago munching on a Carl’s Jr. burger

Jaden Hair got more than 50% of the votes for this year’s list to take the top spot. That’s a huge jump from #6 in 2010. You may know her better by her website Steamy Kitchen. With her unique style and personality, Jaden is one of the top food bloggers with over 87k followers on twitter. Be sure to drop by her website and pick up some free Asian inspired recipes. She’s completely self taught from cooking to food photography to social media marketing. Jaden Hair is the only one on the list that doesn’t have a national TV show. Someone give her a TV show.

Lyrics to Follow Your Lead by City Boy

[Verse / City Boy]
Uh… Every day, the same shit, its a new year
Act like you not afraid to see your true fears
Everyones opinion goin’ out my other ear
Anti-social looking for new peers, but who’s following me?
Should I keep goin’ or have I said enough
Though I keep slippin’, trippin’ down but my head is up
They say if you love it, let it go, I won’t let it up
And every shot being fired, I use it to get a buzz
Trynna clean up my act, but always I’m messin’ up
This rap game is home, I’m stayin’ forever stuck (stuck!)
I could lose both legs, crawlin’ just to move
From the grapevine, they hollerin’ through, but I’m followin’ you
Say I should be up, what if I’m down some
What if I told y’all I’m wrong? What be ya outcome? (what be ya outcome?!)
This here’s my heart recorded on ProTools
Heated in the booth but I’m givin’ y’all the cold truth

[Hook / City Boy]
I don’t need the money, I don’t need the fame
I don’t the lifestyle, I don’t need the pain
I don’t need the clubs, I don’t want the cars
None of that really matters to me
I don’t want the bad bitch, I don’t want the strain
I don’t want the highs, enough shit on the brain
I don’t want whatevers gonna help me be sane
I just wanna follow your lead

[Verse / City Boy]
Sayin’ “follow my lead, follow follow my lead”
I’ll never let it out, I keep it bottled by me
When my dreams are way taller than me
If I don’t climb today, start over by tomorrow I see
Nigga I done been hated, I done been talked upon
Boulevard of broken dreams, this where I been walkin’ on
I don’t wanna budge, theres nothing I have to gain
If you knew the real me, you would see I’m half insane
And God, I’m asking you honestly just to stick around
I know how to sin and curse more than I can listen now
I’m talkin’ to you, I ain’t gotta be a Christian now
Mama stay exhausted, I hopin’ and I wish she proud
Problems here now can pass to the next
And I caused it so I’ll deal w/ after effects
I’m still here, longer lastin’ my breath
And I ain’t askin’ for death cus what I have is the best … Sing!

[Hook / City Boy]

[Verse / City Boy]
Sayin’ “follow my lead, follow follow my lead” (Uhhhh)
Rapper so I must have a model by me
Sometimes my mind try to holla at me
Thoughts dialin’ but I ain’t got caller ID, but I
Know that my life is missin’ some manners, (UHHHH!)
But I ask questions but don’t listen to the answer (Talk to em!)
I’m full with my addiction and my slander
Cus God watching around me sayin’, Why does he be wishin’ that he matters? (Talk to em!)
And most the time, he be leavin’ me cold
He told me what I wanna be, be on your own (OOOHHH!)
It don’t matter if I believe it or no
Its one man with one goal, so the point is to succeed it alone
Listen.. Everything was damn near possibly (Possibly!)
20 years trynna find my philosophy (HUH?!)
Fought thru the rain, the storms, it ain’t stoppin’ me (BUT!)
But I’m stuck here in my head, all I got is me.. (HUH!?)

[Hook / City Boy]

Egypt's Facebook Revolution

Sendhil Ramamurthy of Heroes fame makes an appearance in this sketch parody of the situation in Egypt. He plays Egyptian leader Mubarak. The Egyptians government’s response to mass protests of years of tyranny was to shut down the internet. See how Mubarak deals with this issue. The revolution in Egypt has taken to Facebook and there they will find their new leader. Farmville plays a role.
