Far East Movement released a video giving tribute to the Beastie Boys. They do a glow in the dark version of the Beastie Boys classic “So What’Cha Want”. (The video is so intergalactic.) It’s more than just two turntables and a microphone. The guys hack up the track and make it completely their own.

This reminds us of their performance on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve 2011.

We missed this for Valentine’s Day, but here’s Nerd Love by dkstylez x Hannah Y. It’s a lighthearted nerdy love song. Lots of pop references to couples like Peter Parker & Mary Jane and Superman & Lois Lane. Although the video is not flashy, it keeps the focus on the lyrics (nerdy, simple & about love).

Jae Jin x Elle Choi x J. Han (from AMP Movement) share with you an original track titled “Stand With Me.” The single is a collaborative effort combining the work of the three musicians and two music production groups (Sky Muzik Ent. and Infinite Track Minds, LLC). This “love”- themed song incorporates the creativity of music with the romance of words in expression of life, love, and faith. Rapper J. Han also provided a faith perspective on love writing his verse out to his future wife. It’s an uplifting and encouraging song through both music and words. You can download the track FREE here.

Asian Canadian singer Esly put her own spin on Nicki Minaj’s “Moment 4 Life”. She was the 2010 Kollaboration Toronto winner, and will be performing again at the 2011 Kollaboration Toronto show on March 12, 2011. Expect to see more Esly in 2011. Check out her single Night and Day.
