Lyrics to Too Short To Ride by April Chase x Jesse Barrera

I
I sit & wonder why
I look through others eyes
And not just through my own
No, it’s not a surprise
I know I’m living lies
I need to tell the truth to you

I don’t love you
I guess we’re through
And sorry just won’t do
And I will say
You’ll be okay
You’ll be okay

Sit straight, back straight
Trying to stand taller now
Can’t seem to meet the height
Oh no, oh no
You’re too short to ride
Too short to ride

You
You play your favorite songs
And I have heard them all
But I can’t find the words
To let you know that I
I think we’re wasting time
And it’s round and I go with you

The Chin Chens Teaser Trailer

The Chin Chens Teaser Trailer

At the end of last year, channelAPA.com posted the casting call for The Chin Chens. A teaser trailer has been released online for the Asian American sitcom. Here’s a synopsis:

The Chin Chens is a television show that details the life of a loving but unique family. They are unique because the family members come from different ethnic backgrounds. The father is Chinese and the mother is Vietnamese. They have three children, two of whom have chosen to “downplay” their own cultural identity in exchange for the American way of life. Like it or not, the grandmother is doing what she can to get the family back to their cultural roots. However, the inherent cultural difference between the parents makes for a humorous and educational journey in every episode.

We’re not quite sure what to make of this show quite yet. It feels more like Disney programming than network TV.

Blessed Be His Name by Lyricks

Blessed Be His Name by Lyricks

Rapper Lyricks released a though provoking track “Blessed Be His Name”. It’s dedicated to the Light of Love Mission Church out in Pasadena, CA. This past week a youth group from the church was returning from a retreat on a bus got into an accident killing the bus driver and injuring 23 others. Apparently, the bus drifted into oncoming traffic hit a SUV, veered off the roadway, and collided into a power pole. After breaking the power pole, the bus continued forward down the mountainside hitting several small trees before colliding into a large cedar tree that ultimately stopped the bus.

Lyricks put the track to support the group and reflect on his own crash experiences. Through the song, you can hear the range of emotions involved, especially with a Christian perspective.

I’m Just a Girl by Arden Cho

I'm Just a Girl by Arden Cho

Actress/model Arden Cho has jumped in to the world of music with her song “I’m Just a Girl”. It’s the first song she’s written and composed. Here’s more about the song from her:

From the eyes of a girl and from the eyes of a boy.

I initially wrote this song with my younger female fans in mind, but I think even the boys can relate & enjoy it as well~ Yes, it’s my first song I’ve ever written/composed so it’s not perfect, but hey! IT’S ME! 😀

Sometimes life is all about perspective. The creative vision for the video is from the mind of my fabulous and amazing friend Eugene Lee Yang. I am beyond thankful for all the help from my friends to put this project together and so thankful to the fans who continue to support and encourage me!

You can get the the single on I'm Just a Girl - I'm Just a Girl - Single. See her acting skills in Agents of Secret Stuff.

Lyrics to I’m Just a Girl by Arden Cho

I never thought I’d be the one to fall for you
You were the kinda boy to steal my love, leave me feelin blue
You said I was the one that you’d been waiting for
So I gave it all I had tore my walls down just for you

Thought I was strong
Thought I was tough
Thought you’d never break my heart
But I was wrong
and that’s okay

I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I’m tired of being the one that’s perfect. I’m sorry, that’s not me
I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I wanna run around in sweats and not be judged for what you see
I’m just a girl

You called me beautiful, that was all you cared about
I had to see it for myself, the type of guy you really were
You always told me she was just a friend and then you broke my heart.
It’s like a bad song stuck on repeat why can’t I turn if off.

Thought I was strong
Thought I was tough
Thought you’d never break my heart
But I was wrong
and that’s okay

I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I’m tired of being the one that’s perfect. I’m sorry, that’s not me
I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I wanna run around in sweats and not be judged for what you see
I’m just a girl

I won’t let heart break
stop me from chasing dreams.
Cuz that’s me
I’m just a girl
I want to be loved
Someone to cherish me
I believe. I believe
I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I’m tired of being the one that’s perfect. I’m sorry, that’s not me
I’m just a girl boy can’t you see
I wanna run around in sweats and not be judged for what you see
I’m just a girl
