The Music Box by Daniel Cloud Campos

The Music Box by Daniel Cloud Campos

Multi-talented Daniel Cloud Campos wrote, directed, and edited the short film “The Music Box ” that fuses music and dance together. Here’s a synopsis of the short:

This is a story of a kid, in search for a new apartment rental, who comes across a place that has actually chosen him. When a place speaks to you, you have no other choice but to play along with the tune

The part Filipino dancer creates an intriguing short with clever uses of various parts of the apartment along with dance moves. You would have thought it was from the guys behind The LXD. BTW – Daniel Cloud Campos is the illister in the LXD series. (The short kinda reminds us of Harry Shum Jr. in Elliot’s Shoes.)

Jackie Chan is NOT dead

Jackie Chan is not dead

There’s an hoax floating on the internet that claims actor/stuntman/singer Jackie Chan is dead. Twitter even has “RIP Jackie Chan” as a trending topic almost all day. Jackie Chan is infact NOT dead. So how do you counter the online rumors? Jackie Chan posted messages on various online platforms to stop the hoax.

On Facebook:

Jackie is alive and well. He did not suffer a heart attack and die, as was reported on many social networking sites and in online news reports.

Jackie is fine and is busy preparing for the filming of his next movie.

On his website:
He released a photo with the following caption:

On March 29, Jackie met with Yuji Kumamaru, Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong to discuss the details of the “Love Without Borders 3/11 Candelight Gala.” The event, which is expected to feature up to 100 performers, is scheduled for April 1 at Victoria Park in Hong Kong. All proceeds from the event will benefit the victims of the March 11 earthquake/tsunami in Japan.

Although it’s premature for April Fool’s Day, we expect more hoaxes over the next few days. Jackie Chan did take the opportunity with all the buzz to talk about his charity work.

update: 8/17/11 – rumors surfaced again that Jackie Chan has once again died. This time he addressed the death rumors on Twitter and Facebook stating, “Jackie is alive and well and working hard on his next movie! Don’t believe the latest death rumors.” Jackie Chan knows how to use social media to quell the death hoaxes.

Gold by Kaile Goh x Paul Dateh x Ken Belcher

Gold by Kaile Goh x Paul Dateh x Ken Belcher

Pop Rock singer Kaile Goh connects with musicians Paul Dateh x Ken Belcher for an acoustic version of her song “Gold”. The track is Kaile’s first single, which is filled with raw energy. She’s definitely got a unique style going with a lot of heart. It’s hard to believe she’s only 15. Backing her up in the video is none other than Paul Dateh x Ken Belcher. Paul delivers on multiple violins along with back up vocals, while Ken handles the guitar. Paul Dateh is a one man string orchestra. BTW – Kaile is slated to drop her first album in 2011. Keep your eyes out.

Female rockers seem to get younger and younger. Check out Cheska Zaide from A+ Dropouts.

More about Kalie Goh
For as long as she could remember, 15 year old Kaile Goh has had dreams of becoming a professional singer/songwriter. Born to a Chinese father and an American mother, Kaile lived in Singapore until she was 5 years old. Upon moving to LA, Kaile was signed to Ford Modeling Agency and Abrams Artists commercial division, where she has booked major campaigns for Target, Disney,Sony, Kodak, Bratz and many more. However, Kaile’s passion has always been music. She began singing, writing songs, and playing guitar at the age of nine, and used her own money earned from modeling to buy her Gibson Hummingbird guitar, the guitar she still uses to write all of her songs. Kaile and her band have been performing all over the LA club circuit, and just completed her debut album with producer David Bendeth (Paramore, Breaking Benjamin, All Time Low, Taking Back Sunday) for Jason Flom of Lava/Universal Republic.

Pmac dropped a music video for his track “One.” He goes hard on the single with the verses. Equally impressive is the video. It’s got fun transitional elements, kinetic typography, and lots of attention to details. Pay attention when you watch the video and find the easter eggs strewn throughout the scenes. You will see Pmac seamlessly move from location to location like the school, barbershop, and studio/bedroom. If you are familiar with the San Francisco/Daly City area some of the locations will look very familiar to you.

You can download the song FREE here as part of his First Impression album.
