Linkin Park x Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Linkin Park and Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Grammy award-winning band Linkin Park will have their music featured in the upcoming film “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” with their single “Iridescent” off the “A Thousand Suns” album. “Iridescent” has been a fan-favorite when Linkin Park played it on tour and Michael Bay will feature it in his third Transformers movie. All of them have enjoyed working together on the past two film.

For “Transformers: Dark of the Moon”, there’s a new, slightly shorter version of the track, which is floating around the internet now, but Linkin Park will be shooting the official music video for the song directed by Joe Hahn. (See the New Divide music video.) The storyline behind the “Iridescent” music video will have a doomsday/end of times feel with a one-eyed king & a throne of antlers. However, the post-apocalyptic video will have a hopeful tone.

Lyrics to Before It Explodes by Charice

It’s not a question of love
‘Cause our love has never changed
But all the little things keep piling up
And life keeps getting in the way

[Chorus:]
Don’t make this harder than it is
We both knew it’d come to this
Better now than in a year
More nights of tears and we both hate each other
The fuse is already lit, so how about a final kiss
And just let it go?
And stop the madness before it explodes
Before it’s out of our control
Let’s stop the madness before it explodes
We gotta let it go
Before it all explodes

Somethings we won’t understand
And we’re both so tired of being misunderstood
So let’s just turn and walk away
And hold on to what was good

Chorus

There ain’t nothing that can save us
But you’re close to the edge
And what’s the use of going on,
If we’re lying to each other
Every word that is said
Its too late for us now
Cause we can never count down
Its getting close, its gonna blow

And stop the madness before it explodes
Before it’s out of our control
Let’s stop the madness before it explodes
We gotta let it go
Before it all explodes

Be a Lady by Hopie Spitshard

Be a Lady by Hopie Spitshard

Rapper Hopie Spitshard dropped a new joint “Be a Lady”, a previously unreleased single off the Dulce Vita LP. The music video is set in the 50’s-60’s and tells you what it’s like to be a lady. She breaks down the good and bad of being a woman including putting on makeup, gossiping, and woman-hating. Much like her Dulce Vita Promo video, she’s got a retro feel to the visuals. We wonder if she’ll continue with this theme with other music videos for her album.
