Cindy Chang on America’s Got Talent

Cindy Chang on America's Got Talent

42 year old opera singer Cindy Chang gave her all on America’s Got Talent. The former technical writer/editor is currently a homemaker. She always wanted to be a singer, but her parents never approved. For starting her voice lesson in her mid to late 20’s, she’s got some strong vocal chords. Cindy had lots of support in her Minneapolis audition from the fans and was sent to Vegas. Last night, the judges soured on her performance and she was sent home. It’s too early to tell if Cindy will continue performing, but we hope she does.

The Bollywood Project

The Bollywood Project

Exploring beyond the glitz and glamour of Bollywood films, The Bollywood Project is a feature-length documentary that exposes the reality of four artists rarely acknowledged in the film industry, and what it means to dream big in Bollywood. These are the workers whose physical labor is required on sets, the creative artists who are responsible for the look of top celebrities, the performers who are thrown in amongst dozens of others in a song-and-dance number. The film uncovers the stories of four characters working behind-the-scenes in Mumbai, India’s ‘city of dreams’. An international production team has documented these people’s lives for the last three years. Get the real feel of what it’s like trying to survive in the concrete jungle of Mumbai. This documentary film is set to release in 2012. Learn more about the film here.

Dr. Horrible, an aspiring supervillain with his own video blog, is attempting to join the prestigious Evil League of Evil (led by the legendary “thoroughbred of sin”, Bad Horse), but his plans are usually foiled by the egotistical superhero Captain Hammer. Horrible’s life is thrown for a loop when he falls in love with Penny, a beautiful and optimistic advocate for the homeless he meets at the laundromat, a situation which complicates itself even further when Penny begins dating the boorish, oafish Hammer after he apparently saves her life. Faced with the task of impressing the League, can Horrible overcome his own incompetence to ruin the day, kill the hero, and still get the girl?

In the live adaptation, singer Jane Lui has been cast as Penny, the main female lead. The original role of Penny for the webseries was played by Felicia Day.

4Play on America’s Got Talent

4Play on America's Got Talent>

If you’ve been watching America’s Got Talent, you saw the ladies of 4Play on the show. The girl group audition in Seattle and made it to Vegas. After some constructive criticism from Piers, 4Play came out with a new look for the Vegas round. (The new look is way better.) However, their nerves got the best of them before they could move further into the competition.

That’s not the last you’ll hear from these ladies. They’re working on some new music. See their music video for Dirty Little Secret.

Dreaming Boy by Jerrica Santos

Singer Jerrica Santos released an original track “Dreaming Boy”. The R&B song has her swooning over a guy and longing to be with him. She’s dreaming about him. This is just a sample of what you can expect from her coming soon.

More about Jerrica Santos
Jerrica, also known as JS is an R&B recording artist. At only 23 years old, Jerrica is already an accomplished singer, songwriter, musician and professional Polynesian dancer and has received her ARCT Royal Conservatory of Music Diploma for Piano. Drawing on her love of Soul and R&B, her singing style is most influenced by the likes of Alicia Keys, Mariah Carey, SWV and Lauryn Hill.

Looking to c…apture the Hip hop vibe with her classical keys stylings, Jerrica teamed up with Getright Music to create her first studio album entitled “Another Era”. The album is refreshing as it showcases Jerrica’s musical background on songs such as “You Can’t Deny” but also shows her adaptation to R&B/Hip hop with upbeat tracks such as “Bad Boy” and “Tell Me What It Is”. The album is a long time coming, and Jerrica is the real deal. Combined with Getright Music there is no girl out there doing it quite like this now
