Lyrics by It All Ends / All Was Well by Jimmy Wong

Unbelievable all the things you did
Brought colors to this world that once did not exist
A fire started in my heart that stormed the whole damn place
Oh honey don’t you worry I’d never forget that face

Oh I would sit on a cold bathroom floor
Let’s grow up you and me
Stand and face all of our fears
What I’d give to go right back
Just another seven years

Cuz it all ends (they said of course it’d never last)
And it all ends (of course they’d say it’d never last)

Everytime that I went back to the start
Looking back to find you I couldn’t see that far
I stole you and held you tight kept you to myself
A tale can’t be told if it’s hidden on a shelf

That you might sit down on a bedroom floor
Let’s grow up you and me
Stand and face all of our fears
This I give for you to have
Oh a fresh new seven years

And it begins (they said of course it’d never last)
And it begins (of course they’d say it’d never last)

With a flick of the wrist
And a curve of the lip
Oh the letter’s in the air
And this I know

All was well

Michelle Rhee on Bloomberg Risk Takers

“Bloomberg Risk Takers” profiles Michelle Rhee, the controversial education reformer who fought to change the American public school system. As former DC Chancellor, Rhee made headlines when she shook up one of the toughest school systems in the country and closed 15 percent of the district’s public schools, firing hundreds of teachers in the process. The education establishment fought back, and Rhee was criticized by some parents and students. In 2010, Rhee announced the launch of StudentsFirst, a national organization she hopes will enable the US to regain its competitive edge in education.

More about Anita Lo
Anita Lo is the Executive Chef and owner of Annisa Restaurant. She is also one of the most revered female chefs in the country, having earned numerous accolades for her inventive contemporary American cuisine which reflects her multicultural upbringing and classic French training. Lo, a second generation Chinese-American, grew up with her family in Birmingham, Michigan and fostered an interest in food at a young age. While completing a degree in French Language at Columbia University, she studied at Reid Hall-Columbia’s French language institute in Paris.

After studying at L’Ecole Ritz-Escoffier, a prestigious culinary institution, and working at David Waltuck’s Chanterelle and Mirezi, she opened her own restaurant, a project that would eventually define her culinary career. Annisa became an instant hit after opening in 2000, earning a glowing two-star review from The New York Times. Food & Wine Magazine named Lo one of ten “Best New Chefs in America” in 2001, and The Village Voice proclaimed Lo “Best New Restaurant Chef.”

In July 2009, after nearly ten years in business, Annisa suffered an unfortunate blow-a fire destroyed the restaurant entirely. Lo decided to take some time to travel as plans to rebuild Annisa got underway. She scoured the globe for inspiration, traveling as far as Mongolia and Egypt. Meanwhile, Lo appeared on the first season of Bravo’s “Top Chef Masters” where she battled her contemporaries in weekly challenges that tested their culinary prowess. She finished fourth out of 24 chefs. In April 2010, after a complete renovation of the original Barrow Street location, Lo reopened her beloved Annisa.
