Asian Canadian duo Plaitwrights, comprised of Angela Abrenica and X-Ylk), dropped their first song and music video “Warning”. The well-edited music video features Angela Abrenica strumming on her ukulele with X-Ylk droppin’ the verses with a blow up doll. The single give a warning to those looking to enter a relationship. Apparently, lots of baggage exists. Not only does the pair offer a unique look, but they also deliver unique sound with their catchy tune. Keep you eyes out for more from the Plaitwrights.

Be With You (Rock Mix) by Aziatix

Be With You (Rock Mix) by Aziatix
Boy band Aziatix shows a new side of their musical talents with a rock mix of their song “Be With You” off their Nocturnal album. The love song has the guys rocking out to their lyrics about the infatuation for a girl. You can’t rock out with hair tossing, so Eddie Shin fills that role. Flowsik throws down the rap verses with Nicky Lee taking the middle verse and backup vocals. This young group never ceases to amaze us with each new video they released. Props to these guys and behind the scenes music producer Jae Chong. You can get this single on Be With You (Rock Mix) - Be With You (Rock Mix) - Single. Aziatix All Day!!

Lyrics to Be With You (Rock Mix) by Aziatix

(Chorus)
Like the music in my head
That’s playin’ over and over and over
Girl I can’t get you out my head
Wanna be with you.
Just to be with you Yeah
Wanna be with you.
Just to be with you Yeah

(Verse 1)
The moment we touched I already knew
You would be my number one
Tonight is the night Are you ready to go
We gonna take this all the way

(Rap verse 1)
Feel the vibe, I feel the high when shorty shorty shakes it low
Head to toe you steal the show, cuz baby you already know
Feel the bounce and we gon’ rock the house until the roof goes off and hits the floor
After party arty put it on me, take it nice and slow

(Chorus)
Like the music in my head
That’s playin’ over and over and over
Girl I can’t get you out my head
Wanna be with you.
Just to be with you
So let the music start
To the beat of my heart
Wanna dance the night away
Wanna be with you
Just to be with you Yeah

(Verse 2)
Are you ready tonight? Just give me tonight
Let me be your number one
Feel the love in the air
so baby let’s go
Let the music take control.

(Rap verse 2)
She’s stuck in my head like catchy tunes, that’s sung with attitude, from the baddest crew
Aziatix status, nothing can break us girl we’re shatter proof
If I had to choose, no one else comes after you, and I’m not here to flatter you
Attraction automatic, feel the magic POOF

(Chorus)
Like the music in my head
That’s playin’ over and over and over
Girl I can’t get you out my head
Wanna be with you
Just to be with you
So let the music start
To the beat of my heart
Wanna dance the night away
Wanna be with you
Just to be with you Yeah

Love Lost on the 405

Love Lost on the 405

Former KoreAm Editor-in-chief Kai Ma has written and starred in a new short film titled “Love Lost on the 405.” The breakdown is that it shows us how driving can make you feel crazy. Set in Los Angeles, the film establishes Kai as a driver that descends into depression and madness because both her freeway and relationship are going nowhere. It premiered in August 2011 at the Architecture and Design Museum in Los Angeles for an exhibit by Rethink/LA.

If only freeways in Los Angeles could look like Running on Empty.
