LXD Season 3 Episode 9

LXD Season 3 Episode 9

Evil begins to build its empire in director Jon M. Chu’s LXD. In “Alliance of the Dark”, the Dark Doctor teams up with Karey to destroy the LXD, once and for all. The pieces are popping, locking, and tutting together for evil. Storylines collide as the past and the present enemies of the LXD. Will the LXD be triumphant or will evil crush them? The task looks daunting. It’s time for them to step their game up.

The History of R&B by Paul Kim x David So

The History of R&B by Paul Kim x David So

Singer Paul Kim and comedian David So take you on a walk down memory lane in “The History of R&B”. (Previously, they collaborated on Paul Kim’s You Left Me For That.) Music and humor collide in this fun musical treat. How many songs can you name? From old school to modern contemporary, the duo covers it all. They can really hit those high notes. A special guest joins the pair on the musical journey. Look for Shawn Stockman of Boys II Men in a cameo. Stay til the end of the video.

For more Paul Kim, check out his music videos Still Not Over You, You Left Me For That, and Hero. If you like David So’s take on music, watch his take on Asian stereotypes.

Female emcee Hopie Spitshard dropped a music video for “Like Love” off her Raw Gems album. She tells the story of love gone awry. In the video, Hopie plays the dual roles of the main chick and side chick as her man tries to cover up his transgressions. His wandering eyes destroy a relationship that was solid. WE can safely say that what they had is over. If you take BART or Muni in San Francisco, you’ll recognize many of the stations and neighborhoods used in the video. You can get the single on Like Love - Raw Gems

Hatsune Miku Loves David Choi

Hatsune Miku Loves David Choi

Singer David Choi has a new fan vocaloid “Hatsune Miku“. He seems to see her everywhere as he’s driving around the city. A trio of Mikus check out David as he’s advised by his two consciences (Chester See as Todd and Daniel Juhn as Blade). Why is Hatsune Miku so infatuated by David? He should probably ask one of them out to find out.

Maybe Michelle Phan should have played Miku too.

LXD Season 3 Episode 8

Director Jon M. Chu’s LXD continues its intertwined story development. For the episode “Mess in Aisle 7”, The LXD Rinas go on a mission to find the Dark Doctor through his most trusted soldier. It’s four (make that five) on one as the pink and blue clad, beret-wearting Rinas track down Dark Nurse/Bella in the supermarket. Ballet inspired moves along with b-boy spins dominate the showdown among the produce and frozen foods section. Age is not a factor. Lil Demon makes a cameo as the son of the Dark Nurse/Bella. We’ve never seen dance action like this in a grocery store. Evil forces begin to align.
