A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas TV spot

More about A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas
After years of growing apart, Harold Lee and Kumar Patel have replaced each other with new friends and are preparing for their respective Yuletide celebrations. But when a mysterious package mistakenly arrives at Kumar’s door on Christmas Eve, his attempt to redirect it to Harold’s house ends with the “high grade” contents — and Harold’s father-in-law’s prize Christmas tree — going up in smoke. With his in-laws out of the house for the day, Harold decides to cover his tracks, rather than come clean. Reluctantly embarking on another ill-advised journey with Kumar through New York City, their search for the perfect replacement tree takes them through party heaven — and almost blows Christmas Eve sky high.

The Girl From the Naked Eye

The Girl From the Naked Eye

How far would you go if the only girl you ever loved was murdered? The new film The “Girl From the Naked Eye” follows one man’s love to the ultimate extreme. When a high-class escort is found murdered, her protector Jake (Jason Yee) is crushed. He loved her and now he’ll stop at nothing to find her killer. Leaving a bloody trail in his wake, Jake risks everything to uncover the truth and take his vengeance. THE GIRL FROM THE NAKED EYE takes us through the underground world of sex and drugs where nothing is savory and everything is deadly. Here’s more about the film:

Jake (Jason Yee), an ex-gambler trying to pay off a debt, finds work as a driver for The Naked Eye. The Naked Eye is a private gentleman’s club that fronts for a prostitution ring. Jake tires of chauffeuring around call girls and roughing up deviants that don’t pay. Jake is stuck in this sad existence until he meets Sandy (Samantha Streets), an innocent misguided runaway with nowhere else to go. They form an unlikely bond and give each other the will to strive for a better life. When Sandy is found murdered, Jake searches all night to find out who killed the only person in the world who saw the good in him. Jake must survive the night while deciphering through lies, clues and his own true feelings about Sandy, The Girl from the Naked Eye.

“The Girl from the Naked Eye” is a stylized thriller/ action/ romance that pays homage specifically to Pulp murder novels & Noir films of the 1940s. Jason Yee is this generation’s Eastwood playing the cool but sympathetic Jake in a story that packs mystery, action and romance in every unexpected corner. Samantha Streets fills the screen with beauty and pathos as Sandy, his doomed love. Ron Yuan (Prison Break, CSI:NY, Entourage) provides comic relief as the foul mouthed pimp Simon whom both Jake and Sandy work for. Rounding out the cast are Dominique Swain (Alpha Dog, Lolita), Gary Stretch (The Heavy, Alexander), Sasha Grey (Girlfriend Experience, Entourage) and Wilson Heredia (Rent).

Executive Producer Henry Mu brings together diverse talents of acclaimed Director David Ren (Shanghai Kiss), acclaimed Action Director Ron Yuan (Sundance’s Black Dynamite) and sizzling newcomer Jason Yee as the lead protagonist in this stunning poetic blend of comic book and film noir.

Salad Days Trailer

Salad Days Trailer
Starting to make the film festival round is the film Salad Days. Here’s more about the quirky Asian American movie:

SALAD DAYS is a comedic love triangle told through three interconnected stories.

Caitlin (Emily Yoshida) is in the midst of a quarter-life crisis. She has created “Condor Hero,” a profile to communicate with a secret internet crush. Now she must decide whether or not they should meet in person.

A devastating car wreck forces Alex (Dave Horwitz) to reexamine his lifestyle and salvage his past relationships, including reconciling with a lost love: his ex-girlfriend Caitlin.

Anthony (Anthony Kuan), a misunderstood computer nerd, has the chance to meet the girl of his dreams – a geeky-cute video artist who he pines after on a social networking site. But finding an internet connection in order to contact her proves more difficult than he ever imagined.

SALAD DAYS offers a funny and unique perspective on the identities people create to protect themselves from the frustration and heartbreak of relationships in the real world.

Look for the film to play at a film festival near you including the 2011 San Diego Asian Film Festival.

The Debut by Izzy x Shift the MC x Myko

The Debut by Izzy x Shift the MC x Myko

Hip hop artists Izzy x Shift the MC x Myko get together for the single “The Debut” off Izzy’s upcoming Symphony mixtape. Izzy chopped and flipped the sample to a well known traditional filipino dance called “Tinikling.” It’s a nice modernization of a classic song. Not only does he produce the track, but he also spits verse one and two on the single. Shift the MC take the third verse with Myko handles the chorus vocals. It’s time for new beginnings, it’s their debut. Cop this song FREE here. This track is dope whether you’re Filipino or not. Brings back memories of Children of the Sun Remix by Deep Foundation.

Look for the Izzy’s Symphony mixtape coming out November 11, 2011.

The Debut by Izzy x Shift the MC x Myko

Lyrics to The Debut by Izzy x Shift the MC x Myko

(Izzy)
Welcome to the
Symphony Mixtape
My name is Izzy
I’ll be your guide for the day
So let me say
I am just a Filipino MC
Learn to spit in tongues burning like the third degree
If you know Kweli then you prolly heard of me
Just another part of the Blacksmith Community
Unity
Unify
Intangible until I die
Rapping rapid automatic
Cosmonaut is genocide
Hy to Zy, I & I
Dynasty Style
We bout to fly

(M Dela Cruz)
There’s no way that you can’t find the other side
Come with me and maybe we can get so high
So maybe you can start to live the way I do
It’s time for new beginnings this is our debut

(Izzy)
Swag so don draper, mad men
Loosen up the noose and you tighten the wrong end
We been in the song then
With Shift this aint news
Debut our first track
We rap we rack views
Tied for the second place, everybody is
I
So far ahead
No need to slow down
Hold it now, grip
Cry for your release
Cardiac arrest it won’t cease
Call the police
Died now you see the beast
Turn into a pillar
I know we spitting murder
Cuz the fans want a killer flow
Jack the ripper
Jackson thriller
Feed on emcees
You are my second dinner, go
Yung flow mo pare, mashadong panis na
Saket sa ulo ko
saket sa tenga
Merong kang
Isang verse
Better to rehearse it
You spit like my moms
Better take up nursing

(Shift the MC)
Always dreamt from a young age, id be that front page
It aint trickin’ if you got it, you’re not made
Demolish objects simple to complex
I want to move the streets like I called in a bomb threat
Caught in the same hustle, doing insane numbers
And there’s “no letting go”… Wayne Wonder
I wonder what they hear if it aint hunger
And when I see fame, I’ll remain humble
Don’t you see? We’re part of the same struggle
Shift and Izzy blowing up, but it aint bubbles
This is our de-but, so listen up now
It’s a celebration; this is how we get down
You got to get up and on your feet
Keep stepping on them haters; it’s called “the feet”
Stay lifted when I spit bars, it’s hard to reach
Got them tripping over flows like it’s hard to speak

(M Dela Cruz)
There’s no way that you can’t find the other side
Come with me and maybe we can get so high
So maybe you can start to live the way I do

(Izzy)
It’s time for something new;
Now.
