Just like every year, the Red Bull BC One will be held in a unique location in Moscow. This year, the B-Boys will battle it out in the arena of the Old Moscow Circus! It’s a spectacular venue, perfect for a spectacular event! This circus is one of the oldest in Russia. It opened it’s doors in 1880 and shows were held for more than a 100 years in the arena, before a new building with modern technical equipment replaced the old circus in 1989. On November 26, 2011, the Red Bull BC One B-Boys will rock the house and 2000 guests will be able to watch the ultimate battle for the title “Red Bull BC One Champion 2011.” The line-up for the knock-out style B-Boy competition is composed of 5 B-Boys who won the qualifiers, 10 B-Boys who were chosen by an international team of experts, and last year’s champion, Neguin from Brazil. Hosted by Dilated Peoples’ Rakaa, 3 out of 16 dancers (from 10 different nations), will be reppin’ the USA, including Roxrite from San Francisco (Renegades), Morris from Sacramento (Fallen Kings) and El Nino from Boston (Floorlords Crew). To gear up for such an epic battle, the best B-Boys in the competition are honing their skill. Here’s the competitors:

To win the Red Bull BC One, you need it all—power, stamina, strategy, musicality, nerves of steel and an unlimited arsenal of moves. The difficult task of judging falls to a panel of five internationally acclaimed dancers: Local legend Bootuz from Moscow—competitor in Red Bull BC One 2006 and 2007; well-respected old-schooler Lamine from France; B-Boy Machine from the USA—competitor in Red Bull BC One 2005; Three-time competitor and Red Bull BC One All Star Pelézinho from Brazil; and 2008 Red Bull BC One champ, Korean B-Boy Wing. Providing the music for the event will be UK superstar DJ Renegade who spins at b-boy events all over the planet and is guaranteed to set the floor on fire. Fans from all over the world will be able to watch the entire b-boy battle live online beginning at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern on November 26, 2011. Comedy web series Mixed Blooms continues with episode 4 “The Sale”. The series follows Kim Fluge (Teresa Huang, FX’s “The Riches”) and her husband Brian (John Schaffer, 2011 Dances With Films selection, STAN) as they attempt to keep their little flower shop afloat while raising a curious teenager (Cortney Lee). She’s baaaack! Mega Market Mary informs the gang at Kim N Bloom that the biggest sale of the year is coming soon. An unlikely hero emerges as they try to figure out a way to compete.

You might notice something a little different about Mixed Blooms– it features Asians in leading comedic roles that don’t fit a stereotype. It also includes more women and minorities behind-the-scenes, and strives to show that diversity and commercial viability can live happily together.

Mixed Blooms is a new comedy web series that follows florists Kim and Brian Fluge as they attempt to keep their little flower shop afloat while raising a curious teenager (Morgan).

The Fluges are alternately helped and hindered by their colleagues, which include Kim’s player brother, Chad, and seasoned floral designer, Jessica, who is more interested in men than flowers. Across the parking lot stands Mega Market, whose manager (Mary) is in constant competition with Kim. Luckily, The Fluges have a creative streak and passion for flowers that get them over the many hurdles of running a small business.

Home: Word trailer with Magnetic North x Taiyo Na x Sam Kang

Magnetic North x Taiyo Na x Sam Kang along with their pals Wong Fu Productions are about to release a coast to coast collabo music video for the song “Home: Word” off the Home: Word album. It’s the holiday season, and what better time to be reminded of what’s most important in our lives. Not our job, our finals, or material things…but family, home, peace. Gotta get home. The storyline for won’t get the typical boy/girl Wong Fu treatment, but still just as meaningful. It’s been awhile since Wong Fu Productions worked with Magnetic North on a music video. (Who remembers Drift Away? you can watch it below.) Previously, Wong Fu also worked with Sam Kang on Red Light. Now this melting pot of Asian American talent will launch something special on December 7, 2011, when the full music video is out.
