Robots that fly & cooperate by Vijay Kumar at TED

In his lab at Penn, Vijay Kumar and his team build flying quadrotors, small, agile robots that swarm, sense each other, and form ad hoc teams — for construction, surveying disasters and far more. At the University of Pennsylvania, Vijay Kumar studies the control and coordination of multi-robot formations.

See how robots that fit in the palm of your hand work together to do various tasks including playing music.

Ghostal EP by Adam Warrock

Ghostal EP by Adam Warrock

Nerdcore artist Adam Warrock dropped his latest compilation “Ghostal EP” based on the cartoon Space Ghost. The 3 track EP features song from the cartoon like “Coast 2 Coast”, “Full Brak”, and “Williams St.” Here’s more from Adam Warrock about the EP:

I just finished a month and a half straight of traveling, and I got on this kick of watching old Adult Swim shows to fall asleep, when I was in hotel rooms or curled up on someone’s couch or sleeping in a dumpster (finding dumpsters near AC adapters…. The worst). It’s funny, because I think ever since Adult Swim was ubiquitous in the geeky scene, it’s always been a weird comfort in every phase of my life, from college, to grad school, to work, and now, to touring as a musician. So I just spun a few tracks off of Space Ghost: Coast to Coast, and wanted to make a little homage to Williams Street, for being that kind of comfort. Thanks guys. You rock.

You can download the tracks FREE here. Also check out some of his other works: Parks+Rec EP, Browncoats mixtape, and 616
