Fog Over Water by Connie Lim

Fog Over Water by Connie Lim

Singer Connie Lim released the music video for her song “Fog Over Water”. She braves the woods of Northern California for visuals that are as breathtaking as the song itself. With a piano in the forest and a fantasy dollhouse, the emotional song follows her path after a breakup. The story line is illustrated by Connie saving a fish from a dollhouse filled with water and let go in a bigger pond. You can download the single FREE below:

Lyrics to Fog Over Water by Connie Lim

I started to write the songs that are no longer about you
I started to live my days without thinking about you

Your love your love is like fog over water
Your love, your love won’t be gone for much longer

Meant to fade but you’ll come come back again
You were meant to fade but you’ll come back again

I’m missing just holding you as you wake up defenseless
I never could hold you back; breaks my heart when you’re restless

Your love, your love is like fog over water
Your love your love your love is fog over water
Meant to fade yet will come back, come back again
Meant to fade yet will come back, come back again

No matter where you go
However long you’ll be
Somehow I’ve all-all-always known
I’ve always been your home
Won’t matter when you leave
Somehow I’ve all-all-always known

Your love, your love won’t be gone for much longer
Your love your love your love is fog over water
You may fade but you’ll come come back again
You may fade but you’ll come come back again

Your love, your love, just like fog over water
Your love your love is like fog over water
Meant to fade yet will come back, come back again
Meant to fade yet will come back, come back again

Lyrics to Beat Down music video by Steve Aoki x Angger Dimas x Iggy Azalea

What you looking at me?
Do I got something in my eyes?
Do I got sh*t upon my face and then my hair catching fire?
Cause you really really staring at my something that you like
Jesus, form my number, or you could fly kites
See I’m bout to get with it, I’m getting ratched and live it
You think I’m cool and forget it
You feeling froggy then ribbit
Be like banana and split it, before your melon is splatted
I bet you know what you see, all my girls she’s a looker

Beat down, stop, wait
Think about it, think about it,

Work, work, run up, if you want some
Need the drums, beat, that’s how you done
Wait, I should think about it, never mind
It’s a waste, when this b*tch hit the ground
How these Louis Vuitons taste
I’m sorry, the promoter, let’s put these in the passes
Cause that bitch kept on staring
So I had to whop that ass,
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Beat down, beat down, beat down

It’s a party in your face, I’m about to dance on it
Bout to dance on it, bout to dance on it
It’s a party in your face, I’m about to dance on it
Bout to dance on it, bout to dance on it
You win some, you loose some
But … it’s her day
You win some, you loose some
But … it’s her day
Beat down
It’s a party in your face, I’m about to dance on it
Bout to dance on it, bout to dance on it
It’s a party in your face, I’m about to dance on it
Bout to dance on it, bout to dance on it
Stop, wait, think about it,
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Beat down, beat down, beat down

Checking down ladies no take no lip
Take no lip, take take no lip
If you rap or you girls, pump your fist
Pump pump your fist
Now swing it into hold if your bang looking funny
If she came with a man then take all his money
It’s the year of the women, go grab a cannon and whoop it, she gonna get it
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Hey yo she gonn get it
Beat down, beat down, beat down
Beat down, beat down, beat down.

Grateful by J.Reyez

Grateful by J.Reyez

Rapper J.Reyez dropped a music video for his track “Grateful” off his “Wake Up Call” EP. The autobiographical single talks about his childhood hanging with the wrong people and his transformation to a rapper. It’s like a thank you song to his mom, fans, and friends. He concludes the video with a special message: “This is to personally thank the close ones who have been there for me through think and thin. For the ones who believed in me from the beginning and the ones who believe in me now. I would’t be half the man I am today without the help of my Nu-Lite fam, my supporters and friends guiding me on this journey. I’m just grateful that God gave me a gift, to use the power of my voice and music for the people that will listen.” You can get “Will Call” EP on Wake Up Call - J.Reyez or amazon.

Lyrics to Grateful by J.Reyez

(Verse 1)
I remember back then, living in mama’s crib
now I’m paying for rent, wondering how she been
them good ol’ days with them home cooked meals
getting caught in fourth grade commiting no good steals
anything to get by, just to live life careless
basketball jersey on, back when I’d wear this
hanging with the wrong kids, getting into trouble
I starting doing dirt just to get with the hustle
my friends would influence, doing what was stupid
living life hip hop, intuned with the music
them days of graffiti, tagging up everything
and life was so easy, didn’t worry bout a thing
trying to be the cool kid, we all trying to stand out
tried the school thing but it just didn’t pan out
learn from mistakes and I’m feeling like a man now
you gotta understand that this life ain’t a hand out

but one time for me

(Chorus)
throw your hands in the air
wave it around like you just don’t care
I do it, I do it for my fans
I do it for my fam, and they made me who I am
I’m feeling so grateful and I became a man
for all the hard times that I had to take a stand
I’m feeling so grateful, the food that I eat
for the times that I’d fall and got back on my feet

(Verse 2)
I’m trying to be optimistic I say fuck a pessimist
make the same mistake, sorry I wasn’t listening
forgot what the lesson is, I need to grow up now
buy that big house for my mom somewhere uptown
need to get a deal, I need some of that wealth
I’ve been keeping it real, being true to myself
been doing it well, the city’s where my hearts at
working on my craft, it’s a real life art class
these rappers need to hit the gym, where your bars at?
I don’t see you in the sky, where the stars at?
getting in the rap game for the wrong reasons
you ain’t hot, sorry kid you in the wrong season
this life is all about doing good with it
shouts to my homies holding up in the hood living
and it’s a blessing to make it outta nothing
we all got potential to everything we wanted

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
looking back to what I had, I still reminisce
appreciating what I have, every day I’m livin in
just to get this far, we’ve been through the hardships
feels so good everytime were awarded
gotta live life everyday and enjoy it
never give up on your goals, never forfeit
God is so greatful, I wake up in the morning
throw ya hands up one time for the chorus

now one time for me

(Chorus)

In the post interview, he touches on Tim Tebow, the return of Lin-sanity or lack there of, spreading the ball on the court, and teamwork. Read more about Jeremy Lin’s perspective on the whole situation here (Honestly, I preferred New York) and here (I will always have haters).
