The Airplane Boys released the music video for their single “Parachutes” off their Alignment mixtape. The video follows the duo as they travel around the world and perform their music. In the latest video “Sandcastle Sensei,” Freddie Wong and friends make their “Kung Fu Hustle” -like short. They made this to attempt some over the top Kung Fu moves while using mostly in camera tricks. What makes this impressive is that they only use a camera phone and easily accessible software. Their point of view on filmmaking in 2012 is that equipment is far less important than an idea and execution. What do you think? This is much different than the full blown production of Video Game High School.

Singers Alex Wong x Ximena Sariñana collaborate on the single “Oceanside” off Alex Wong’s “A City On A Lake” album. This is the first song off Alex’s first solo project. For the video, the lines of reality and fantasy blur together. The duo escapes to the world of Oceanside only to return to reality with every door that opens. The thought provoking ethereal track makes you contemplate life and the ones you love. Director Lawrence Chen does an excellent job illustrating the ebb and flow of Oceanside. You can get the track on or amazon.
Lyrics to Oceanside by Alex Wong x Ximena Sariñana
One more drink before you go
The waves are crashing down below
Another hazy afternoon
He’s gonna be home soon
And the seasons never change
(if you lived here you’d be home)
Where the faces stay the same
(never have to be alone)
Behind the sun kissed glow
No one has to know
We all close our eyes
here in Oceanside
We all spend some time
here in Oceanside
The truth was always black and white
Never home enough to fight
No one needs another war
Don’t kill the messenger
And the seasons never change
(if you lived here you’d be home)
Where the faces stay the same
(never have to be alone)
Behind the sun kissed glow
Someone has to know
We all close our eyes
here in Oceanside
We all spend some time
here in Oceanside
Everything’s fine
here in Oceanside
We all spend some time
here in Oceanside
Everybody finds a way
Everybody must survive
You will learn your lesson
You will learn to pick a side

Lyrics to Otherside by Toestah x Jennifer Chung
Chorus: Jennifer Chung
I got dreams I got dreams I got means/
I’ve got the things to get me where I need to be/
So don’t cry, don’t cry I’ll be alright.
I’ll see you on the other side
I got dreams I got dreams I got means/
I’ve got the things to get me where I need to be/
So don’t cry, don’t cry I’ll be alright.
I’ll see you on the other side
Verse: Toestah
Is this a dream, Is it not what it seems/
Are we getting ahead are we obtaining what we need/
I got a hundred on roulette, on the same color I bleed/
Hoping if I win this sh*t/ Its gon’ put me back at ease/
So forgive me if I sin/ I swear they always ask where I been/
Well…I guess it all depends/
I be parlaying with fam/ BS’ing with friends/
Living life chasing a dream that I swear would never end/
But it does, & when its time its toast to the above/
for giving me a chance to just continue what I love/
I’m doing what it does/ So for the hell of it, lets celebrate/
Because anything between me & my dreams is Irrelevant.
Verse 2: Toestah
Now am I repping for my city only time can tell/
been dreaming ’bout this lifestyle since I was like twelve/
Hopping out of airplanes & into hotels/
Room service reminding’ of how our sh*t propelled/
I told my mama I’ll be back/ I kissed her goodbye
& yea she taught me how to love & always apply/
Your consumers are your fans, you needa supply/
& when they out there showing love/ you needa reply/
I’m in the building with my boys/ We ride till we die/
They keep my toes on the ground/ My head in the sky/
I look a hater in the face, & dead in the eyes/
Tell em’ one day imma make it, & don’t be surprised.
