K-Town Reality Show : Episode 9

K-Town Reality Show : Episode 9

In K-Town Reality Show Episode 9 “The Night of Chaos”, the K-Town crew talk about the aftermath from the night of partying at the club. Violet left the club with a drunk Jowe and spent the night as his place. However, things are far from being clear for the two as Jowe’s mixed signals leave their future uncertain. The cast reels over Joe’s mistreatment of them including the lack of liquor — especially Steve, who became the brunt of all Joe’s frustrations. During the group dinner, Young announces that he got signed to an agency and must decide between his wedding and his career. Things escalate even further when Steve and Joe get into a fist fight inside a karaoke room with Scarlet “meditating” the two. Steve and Joe need to hammer it out. Hopefully, not just with fists.

Lucky Guy by David Choi x Wong Fu Productions

Lucky Guy music video by David Choi x Wong Fu Productions

Wong Fu Productions and David Choi team up for yet another music video. Their latest collaboration is for David Choi’s single “Lucky Guy” off his Forever & Ever album. The music videos just seem to get bigger and bigger. (Don’t read futher if you don’t want spoilers from the vidoe.) In the music video for “Lucky Guy,” David Choi plays his music at a senior center as his heart-wrenching song comes to life with a Wong Fu Production twist. Although the song is from the perspective of a heartbroken man, the storyline takes the positive route of being the “lucky one” rather than the sad path of losing someone special. Here’s more about the video:

We lead the viewer to first believe that the old man in the beginning is the young man sitting in the car, writing the letter. He gets his heart broken as the girl he’s confessing to says that she cannot be with him, because she already has chosen another man. From that point, the story shifts focus onto this new young man, which we initially are not happy about, until we realize that the old man is actually the man she chose. Furthermore, as the lyrics encouraged, “he did make her his wife” because he knew “that he’s the lucky guy”. And in the end, rather than being another sad story, the video becomes a beautiful example of a man and woman who truly loved each other, appreciated each other, and had a happy life together.

They went all out on this production from visual effect to change eye color to wardrobe to fit the 1960s to hair and make up to match that Mad Men look. It’s yet another successful production between David Choi x Wong Fu Productions.

Lyrics to Lucky Guy by David Choi

It’s been so long since I’ve met someone

That makes me feel this way

Makes me smile, and that’s hard to do

I don’t think it’s something you realize you do

You make me feel

Like I’m the only guy

With you in the world

But we can’t be together

Can’t really be friends

We can’t be lovers

And we can’t pretend

Oh that boy in your life

Better make you his wife

And he better believe he’s a lucky guy

You wanted a song well here’s one for you

Nobody will know except for us two

Don’t ask me about it

Cuz I won’t tell the truth

Just know that there’s someone

Thinking of you

You make me feel

Something I wish wasn’t real at all

Chorus

You were never mine to begin with…

So we can’t be together

Can’t really be friends

We can’t be lovers

And we can’t pretend

Oh that boy in your life

Better make you his wife

And he better believe he’s a lucky guy
