Lovetron by Far East Movement

Lovetron by Far East Movement

International sensations Far East Movement have returned with their new track “Lovetron,” featuring rising star Travis Garland. “Lovetron” is a slick homage to the polished R&B of the nineties, and proves that FM are as adept at crafting refreshing slow jams as they are at delivering euphoric electro-pop. “With the sound of our Dirty Bass album, we referenced the classic music of the eighties and nineties, mashing that up with the pop and dance of today,” says FM’s Kev Nish. “For “Lovetron,” we kept the same Far East Movement mash-up mentality, and took it back to that smooth nineties R&B sound — with an FM twist!”

Produced by longtime collaborators The Stereotypes (“Rocketeer“; “Girls On The Dance Floor“), “Lovetron” is the latest release from the group’s repackaged Dirty Bass, which is currently available worldwide via Cherrytree Records. In addition to including the global Top 10 singles “Live My Life” and “Turn Up The Love,” the latest incarnation of Dirty Bass also includes four brand new tracks. New highlights from this repack include “Lovetron” and the emotionally charged “For All.” You can download the track FREE here.

L.A. natives can catch FM’s latest TV performance tomorrow night (Thanksgiving; Thursday, November 22nd), on KCAL Channel 9 at 8PM. The group taped a special, holiday-themed performance live at The Grove and in front of thousands of fans. This included the live premiere of a brand new recording entitled “Christmas In Downtown L.A.,” produced by Cherrytree head, Martin “Cherry Cherry Boom Boom” Kierszenbaum. Lyrics to Shadow of a Man by Jhameel

take it by your bruises he’s been workin’ hard on ya
feedin’ you this bullsh*t why he needs to take it out on ya
i’ve seen this all before
slaps you then calls you whore
you need to leave him darlin’ don’t let this go on

take it by your bleedin’ he’s been beatin’ strong on ya
tellin’ me this bullsh*t you can’t live without his arm on ya
i’ve heard this all before
can’t nobody help no more
you need to leave him darlin’ don’t let this go on

i know you’ve known him for so long
but the one that you love is gone
and left is a
shadow of a man

you need to stop baby think about yourself
are you happy with the way that he’s been treatin’ you like hell
you need to stop baby think about your child
are you happy with the way that he’s been givin’ her the belt

one day you’ll look back and you’ll cry
you’ll have a new man by your side
he’ll treat that precious ass so well
one day you’ll look back at this hell

Squad 85 : Episode 2

 Squad 85 : Episode 2

The webseries Squad 85 continues with episode 2 entitled “It’s Not the Work…It’s the Stares”. Investigating a crime scene, the entire Squad goes undercover unnecessarily, as call girls… 80′s call girls. The team tackles tough issues like prostitution, racism, and drugs through touching moments and comedy. (Seems like one of those afterschool specials.) Meanwhile, Parvesh Cheena is looking suspicious as bus driver Rickman at Dukakis High.

If you ever wanted to go back to the 80’s, this series will take you back.

Into today’s tired world of lab work, warrants, and white-gloved crime scene investigations, bust an elite, twentysomething, mixed-race team of police who only know to kick down doors and ask questions later. Our band of cops — RUSTY (the Hearthrob), WHEELS (the Brains), BRONX (the Muscle), TORI (Disguises/Accents), BOBBY (the Rookie) & THE CHIEF — are assigned to solve the cases only they can.

In Series One, the Squad is hot on the trail of RICKMAN (Parvesh Cheena – Outsourced, Barbershop, Friend Me), as he tries to run a new lethal designer drug through Dukakis High. And it turns out he has ties to other things… big things…
